Please Lone... enough now!
We have a top manager, we are top of the League, we are unbeaten, we have a brilliant squad, we have a board that is clearly backing the manager, we have an incredible amount of options on the pitch now, we have a strong set of fans that can get LR rocking again, and we have our best chance ever of returning to the Prem...
Let's talk about this stuff that gets us all buzzing, and let the likes of Coventry worry about the thug!
I thank you in advance sir!

I agree with Robbo.
Eskey has a point but Colin's made it clear on the thug.
I think the club are well aware of the fan's feelings on the arsehole.

I don't think threads should be locked purely because we don't like who they are about.

I'm not saying to lock it because it's about King, I am just not sure that it has real bearing on this forum anymore?
I would never suggest closing something off cos I don't like it or agree with it etc, I just do not see the need for it on here any longer.
When it was relevant, of course it was fine to discuss, but now?
Also, isn't good that we don't all agree about stuff on this forum, but we do not revert to the "he said, I said" nonsense that prevails on other forums.

If it's regarding football then surely it has a bearing. The fact that he was also heavily linked with us means that it is yet more pertinant.
Let the thread run it's course, it will eventually be forgotten and fall down the pages as other things become more newsworthy.

I can see the argument for letting this thread die...And I'll try not to post much more on this...Although just grateful he's not coming to QPR.
Actually locking the thread, I don't think should. That should be more for if a topic is getting too heated and entering realms, we shouldn't be discussing for legal or other such reasons.
But letting this drop down...

If something happens then it should be posted on this thread, eventually the event will be eclipsed by other's and it will naturally fall down the order.
I wouldn't purposefully not post things just so it isn't near the top.

From the Beeb..................... Coventry City sign former Wigan striker Marlon King King has been training with Coventry for several weeks Coventry City have signed former Wigan striker Marlon King on a one-year contract, after a spell training with the Championship club.
The 30-year-old played under Sky Blues boss Aidy Boothroyd at Watford.
"I am very grateful for the chance Coventry City have given me and I look forward to working with Aidy again," King told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.
King was jailed for 18 months after being found guilty of sexual assault and was released from prison in July.
He was a free agent following his release and has since vowed to clear his name.
The forward was a Wigan player on loan at Hull City when he was jailed and after being sacked by the Latics, chairman Dave Whelan insisted he would "never pull on the shirt of Wigan Athletic again."
But Whelan has since claimed he has forgiven the player, saying: "He's served his sentence. I'm sure he's learned a lot and I forgive him and wish him well if he gets back into the game.
"I was very upset at the time, but I really think you've got to forgive people because we all make mistakes and if he can get back into the game, good luck to him."
King, a Jamaica international, started his career with Barnet, before moving to Gillingham and then Nottingham Forest.
When I managed Marlon at Watford, he was a first-class professional and I fully expect that to be the case at Coventry.
Coventry City boss Aidy Bootroyd on new signing Marlon King While at Forest, he was briefly loaned out to Leeds United, before making his Premier League debut with Watford in the 2006-07 season.
In January 2008, he moved to Wigan for £3m on a three-and-a-half year contract with a £40,000 a week salary.
The Sky Blues are currently mid-table in the Championship and following their 2-1 win over Bristol City on Saturday, Boothroyd said: "I think we are getting a £5m player for nothing.
"I'm very happy with my squad as it is, but Marlon has been a terrific player at a high level and the 30-year-olds give us that bit extra."
After finalising the deal, Boothroyd added: "He's been working very hard with us in an attempt to regain his fitness. He has looked sharp in training and in a couple of reserve matches but we will have to assess very carefully when he is ready to step into Championship football.
"When I managed Marlon at Watford, he was a first-class professional and I fully expect that to be the case at Coventry."

I think Mrs Bothroyd was waiting for the furore to die down before announcing his signing. The manager, the club and everything about Coventry is seriously devalued in my opinion.
"Aidy Aidy sign him up" thank fark for that eh!

Always difficult for a club official site to know how to phrase things: Do you mention? Do you ignore?...Coventry Official Site
NEWS: King signs with Sky Blues Posted on: Mon 20 Sep 2010 MARLON King has signed a contract with Coventry City Football Club until June 2011. Manager Aidy Boothroyd, who successfully managed King at Watford, said the decision had been taken after lengthy talks with the player, his agent and the board of the club. Aidy Boothroyd said: "When I managed Marlon at Watford he was a first class professional and I fully expect that to be the case at Coventry City. "He's been working very hard with us in an attempt to regain his fitness. He has looked sharp in training and in a couple of reserve matches but we will have to assess very carefully when he is ready for the step into Championship football." Marlon King said: "I am very grateful for the chance Coventry City have given me and I look forward to working with Aidy again. I will be working hard to repeat the success we had when we last worked together." www.ccfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10269~2160005,00.html

Keep the thread open. The comedy factor going forward around the grounds alone is going to be worth reporting on. The amount of stick he is going to receive will be immense
