LORD MAWHINNEY TO ADVISE NFL INTERNATIONAL

The Football League's Honorary President, Lord Mawhinney, has been appointed as a Special Advisor to the National Football League International.
Lord Mawhinney, who stood down in April after a seven-year reign as Chairman of The Football League, will offer guidance and counsel on the sporting landscape in order to help the development of the NFL in the UK.
"As a long-time NFL fan it is an honour to be linked with NFL International in this way," said Lord Mawhinney. "The sport is developing impressively in this country and I look forward to aiding that process."
Alistair Kirkwood, Managing Director of NFL UK, added: "We are very pleased to be able to call upon someone with Lord Mawhinney's background and knowledge. We plan to utilise his success in various fields to help us continue, and accelerate, the growth of our sport and our business in the UK
