Excellent news for me. My grandfather had something to do with County at the turn of last century (early 1900's) and I have kept an eye on them ever since I got interested in football and QPR.

They seem to have axed their manager!BBC - Confusion surrounds Ablett exit Former Stockport boss Gary Ablett has claimed the club's new owners did not inform him he was being released. The ex-Liverpool and Everton defender left after just one season in charge at following the club's takeover by the 2015 Consortium on Thursday. Ablett told BBC Radio Manchester: "I haven't been involved at all in the decision, the new consortium have never spoken to me." But chief executive Sean Connelly said Ablett had left the club on good terms. I think I've known this day's coming over the past four to six weeks, possibly even longer Gary Ablett The ex-Liverpool youth-team coach appeared to have a different view, as he added: "I do feel mistreated as the courtesy of a phone call would've been nice. "But obviously that hasn't happened and I think I've known this day's coming over the past four to six weeks, possibly even longer, with the fact they haven't spoken to me. "Do I regret going to Stockport is a difficult question," he added. "I did have other offers on the table at the time and certainly I had a very good offer to go and work abroad on a three-year contract." newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/stockport/8748370.stm
