I doubt there's any reference to QPR as being the center of his life, but who knows...The Times
How do you define a normal life?Dominic Walsh: City Diary A rare insight into what it’s like living with Britain’s richest man in the July issue of Tatler. The magazine, out tomorrow, carries an interview with Usha Mittal, the woman behind Lakshmi Mittal, the steel magnate who credits his wife for much of his success in building a £22 billion fortune. The feature provides a “through the keyhole” glimpse of the home in Kensington Palace Gardens they bought from Bernie Ecclestone in 2003 for a reputed £70 million. Mrs Mittal guides the magazine through its intricately landscaped gardens complete with Henry Moore sculpture, the marble sourced from the same quarry that supplied the Taj Mahal, a jewel-inlaid swimming pool, parking for 20 cars, a study complete with Piccasso painting and a winter sitting room decorated with “red velvet sofas, scatter cushions, Tiffany lamps, glittery objects, inlaid cabinets, expensive looking rugs, and a huge, plain, beautiful marble fireplace”. And what of all the attention that comes from having a husband worth £22 billion? “It doesn’t bother us,” she says. “We are what we are and we live a normal life.” business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/columnists/article7142121.ece
