Hi All My first post I used to have a season ticket in SAR but then moved out of London. I'm back in effect now and am thinking of buying a season ticket. I've already paid for some of the home games this season, does anyone know how the season ticket works if you buy at this point? Do they deduct the cost of the games already gone? Also - looks like none of my mates want to buy one with me, they have other commitments (kids etc) so want to go intermittently when they can. Any recommendations on where to sit in terms of with nice people?

Any recommendations on where to sit in terms of with nice people? If you buy now the season ticket is apportioned to games remaining. As for where to go, I cannot recommend as there are no nice people! Would you know anyone if you went back to South Africa? Considerations for me are thus. I smoke, therefore it is Ellerslie or Loft. I like a drink so same again except the Loft has the exclusivity of the blue and white. South Africa, unless you go posh, has no member's bar only the concourse which is very busy. Some of us meet up at the Adelaide, you could go to a game, meet up there, and make a decision from there on. Mind you, we don't all sit together obviously. Did that help? Edit: Welcome to the board. ;D

Thanks cpr - yep, it does help. I like a drink too and I remember the q'ing at SAR to get one was a pain!!!
I think I'll prob head to HQ tomorrow anyway to find out where the available seats are. At the moment, it's a toss up between C Block or S. More likely S.
Ah the Adelaide, haven't been there in years, generally I tend to go to the Weld or, back in the day, Bush Ranger. It always seemed to kick off whenever I was near the QA, or maybe I was just unlucky!

As far as I'm aware, you can buy season tickets at any time during the season. Obviously the next promotion will be the half season ticket at Christmass but as we have not reached the allocation that means you can no longer sell season tickets then you can buy them at any time.
I may be wrong but don't think so, after the promotion season was the one I can recall being when we actually could not sell any more season tickets.
