Flashback to Feb 2006: Holloway's Axing qprreport.blogspot.com/2006/12/qprs-year-february-2006-holloway-put.html - “If a man is happily married why would he look for another woman?” - “Once he applied for the Leicester job we felt he could not concentrate on our team.” - “QPR has not sacked Ian but we are concerned about recent performances and the effect the speculation about Ian joining Leicester might have on the players. I hope we can sort something out with Ian as soon as possible.”

Well we know despite Paladini spending millions on players and wages and failed managers and coaches, we still haven't matched the points total that Holloway achieved...Nor have we regained the gates that Holloway achieved.

When Amit and Ishan bin the lying backstabbing toady chancer, I'm sure Olly will return the favour and call him to wish him good luck.
The difference is GP won't be in the Prem. ;D

How lacking in class is that

How lacking in class is that That is what rankles with me. For a man who lives his life expecting respect, how low and disrespectful could he go. Why not just congratulate the great achievement against all odds rather than dig himself an even bigger hole for everyone to fill in with what a shat that man is. Amit et al, send the wee gnome off on permanent gardening leave and I will supply the minature fishing rod for him to hold.

Anyway since Gianni is in the "remembering that period" mode: Ian Holloway in The Independent a few months earlier - ' On the toilet..."And Gianni was going: 'You F***ing bastard I am going to kill you. I am going to kill you, you F***ing bastard... where are you, you F***ing... F***ing hell where are you.'"And you said..."I am on the toilet. My wife is in the house. Ask her. He said: 'She could be at F***ing Wolves with you.'" In the end, Holloway says, he had to drive up to Leeds, to reassure the Italian. It was a journey he remembers."It was a terrible virus. It was coming out of both ends. I had to stop at every service station. I shouldn't have gone. It was horrendous. I was totally dehydrated. My lips were stuck to my teeth. I ended up in hospital, the following day. I was in for a week. I had six drips put into me" qprissues.blogspot.com/

as i said on indyrs when ken bates told ollie he was sacked as he was told by the chairman(paladini) how does anyone think that ollie felt like. And then the first time he came back with plymouth and GP took the piss out of him
Holloway was the firt of many to have the knife of Paladini in his back and if GP should have said nowt on this issue as we all know the means used to oust Sousa and i recall a few insider stories about Holloway in the press as well.

And some wonder why I think Paladini is the biggest C--- (Deliberately spelt that way by me) to have ever worked for QPR, and that includes Davies and Wright and Blackburn. Our new owners if ever needing a chance or excuse to sack him, should use this for bringing the game into disrepute.

Dave McIntyre's article has a few other snippets - But these are the Paladini quotes
Paladini - "...No One is Happier for Him than me. I rang him to wish him good luck before the play-offs and we still have a good relationship. "I have the utmost respect for the man, but if you think back five years to his final weeks at QPR, I think a lot of people felt it was time to move on..." "What he's done with Blackpool is a miracle really.....He's done a great job there [at Blackpool] and did a great job at QPR. But if you think back to his last home game, against Leicester, people were not happy." "We've got a great manager now in Neil Warnock and Ian Holloway has moved on and achieved success, which no one deserves more than him".

Forgive my *cough* innocence.... Is this award a joke? Sorry mate, I really wish that it was some kind of joke. I was there that night, and would have been happy if this had been given as a leaving gift to "our saviour". I wonder what the people who gave this think now......

Doesn't matter. He could have easily said, "well done to IH, we're all really pleased for you" and left it there.
