Defender Damion Stewart and on-loan Arsenal striker Jay Simpson are back in the Queens Park Rangers squad.
Stewart was suspended for Saturday's 1-1 draw against Swansea City, while Simpson was left out because he had a slight hamstring problem.
Derby manager Nigel Clough must decide whether to recall Robbie Savage, who was rested at the weekend.
Fit-again trio Gary Teale, Lee Croft and Lee Hendrie will also be hoping to be included in Clough's line-up.
MATCH PREVIEW
QPR, who came back from two-down to win 4-2 at Derby in October, have never done the double over the Rams and have not beaten them at Loftus Road for nearly 28 years.
Terry Venables was in charge at Rangers when they last won a home match against Derby, and Neil Warnock is hoping to eventually follow in his footsteps by leading the London club back to the top flight.
But first, the recently appointed boss is focused on continuing to pull Rangers away from the relegation zone. Saturday's draw at home to promotion-chasing Swansea was another step in the right direction.
Derby are 18th, one place below the R's, and have also been fighting against the drop. Nigel Clough's side are without a win in four matches.

Rams let train take the strain as they head for the capital

DERBY County will travel to tonight's Championship clash away to Queens Park Rangers by train.
They will catch the 10am train from Derby and arrive at St Pancras at 11.35am where they will be met by the team coach and taken to their hotel.
After the game, which kicks off at Loftus Road at 8pm, they will return to Derby by coach.
"There's a few clubs that do it (travel by train)," said manager Nigel Clough.
"Normally, we would have to go overnight because you can't risk the roads.
"You cannot do it on a coach in the time it takes on the train. You would have to allow three hours at least, and it's in the centre of London as well.
"On the train, the players can get up and stretch their legs a bit more than you can on a coach, but it's really to cut down the amount of travelling time.
"You spend a lot of hours on a coach during the season and especially when you are going south it can be more of a problem.
"If you get an accident on the M1, you can be sat on a bus for four hours which we don't want to do."
Derby could make changes tonight.
The Rams collected a point in Saturday's goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday to stay five clear of the bottom three in the Championship.
Skipper Robbie Savage was rested against Wednesday – the first time he had not started a league game this season.
The 35-year-old midfielder came on as a substitute after 80 minutes and he is an option for Clough.
"We are throwing one or two ideas around at the moment," said the Rams manager.
"They (QPR) are playing a different formation, or have been doing. Whether they change or not, we don't know, so we might change to accomodate them a little bit."
Derby are looking to reach 50 points as soon as possible.
They are on 44 with eight games left, and it remains tight at the bottom end of the table.
"That's why we have been saying for the last few weeks, let's get some points on the board," said Clough.
"We haven't quite managed to get as many as we hoped, and other teams have picked up surprising results as well.
"Things can change quickly. You only have to look at the fixtures in the next two nights. Sc**thorpe are at home to Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday at home to Watford. Both could be home wins.
"That's why we want to get to 50 as quickly as we can which is two wins, so we could be there by Saturday tea-time.
"That is the incentive and the aim, but the way the form has been a little bit hit-and-miss of late it will probably be a case of grinding them out more than getting two quick wins, we think.
"Over the last 38 games we haven't had enough draws, but at this stage a win or two will make a huge difference to the table."
Rangers beat Derby 4-2 at Pride Park in October.
"They did turn us over and we probably played them at their absolute maximum that day. They were scoring goals and looking dangerous," said Clough.
"It's been a different story since that game really. Anybody leaving Pride Park that day would've said they'd be in the top six at the end of the season. But they're in the lower reaches with ourselves."

Rangers play host to Derby County at Loftus Road this evening (Tuesday), as the countdown to the Coca Cola Championship finale gathers pace.

Both sides head into the clash in W12 following weekend draws.

Rangers fought back from a goal down to claim a share of the spoils against Swansea City, whilst Nigel Clough's charges were held to a goalless draw at fellow strugglers Sheffield Wednesday.

That stalemate stretched their winless run to four matches and the R's will be hopeful of extending that sequence, especially if the meeting between the two sides earlier this season is anything to go by.

Jay Simpson, who notched the R's all-important third goal in that 4-2 win, is set to return following a hamstring strain, whilst Damion Stewart could also be set for a recall in the wake of his one-match ban.



Star Man

Paul GREEN - Midfielder

Energetic midfielder Paul Green was a star as Doncaster Rovers rose through the divisions before deciding to join Derby County on a three-year deal in the summer of 2008.

The Sheffield-born man was Rovers' longest-serving player having made his debut in their non-league days, and before leaving he was the only player remaining at Doncaster who was part of their promotion back to the Football League in 2003.

And, such is the twist of fate that is football; he made his Rams debut against his old club on the opening day of 2008/09.

Energetic and with an eye for goal, Green had 33 strikes to his name in 277 career outings before joining Derby, and has continued to be a consistent performer and regular scorer despite making the step up a division.

Neil Warnock: "I think, like ourselves, Derby will be glad to see the back of this season, so we can both look forward to a fresh start.

"I'm sure both sets of supporters will be slightly disappointed with how the season has panned out, but make no mistake, QPR and Derby are big, big Clubs with huge ambition.

"Both teams will be keen to register all three points, and given that both sets of players like to play, it should be an exciting affair."

The R's fought back from two goals down to earn a stunning victory at Pride Park in front of the live BBC TV cameras.

Trailing 2-0 to goals from Paul Dickov and Robbie Savage, Rangers responded in emphatic style to gain further ground on the Championship's front-runners.

Adel Taarabt sparked the revival with a delicious right-footed free kick, before the outstanding Gavin Mahon drew Rangers level seconds into the second period with a tidy close-range finish.

The comeback was complete just before the hour, when Jay Simpson bagged his sixth goal of the campaign with a well-taken low drive.

The R's even had the luxury of a late fourth courtesy of Akos Buzsaky's spot-kick, as Rangers jumped into the play-off zone in style.

CLOUGH RELISHING QPR TEST

Nigel Clough has revealed his surprise that tonight's opponents Queens Park Rangers find themselves in the lower half of the Championship.

In October's meeting between the two sides at Pride Park in front of the BBC cameras Rangers stormed back from 2-0 down to defeat the Rams 4-2.

Since then Rangers have parted company with Jim Magilton and later Paul Hart in the manager's hotseat, with Neil Warnock the current occupant, and have gradually dropped down the Championship standings sitting just a point and a place above Derby.

"I am surprised how quickly they have dropped down the table; they were a good shout for the playoffs when we played them," Clough told Rams Player.

"I think we played them at their peak and under Jim Magilton they were arguably the best team we've faced this season.

"The instability of going through a few managers seems to have added to their woes as well as losing one or two players like Wayne Routledge, who is as fast as anyone in this league."

Clough is relishing tonight's encounter at Loftus Road, an arena which he believes creates a unique atmosphere.

He is also hoping his side can continue where they left off at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday where his side put in a solid and assured display to come away with a point in the goalless draw.

He said: "Loftus Road is a hard place to go to and the atmosphere is always good down there.

"It is an old-fashioned ground and the crowd are right on top of you.

"Neil Warnock always has his teams up and at you from the off and we know we will have to deal with that.

"We were very happy with the way we defended at Sheffield Wednesday and limited them to very few chances, so we want to do that again.

"There was a real sense of grit and determination at Hillsborough and we were solid throughout, which we hope is a sign of things to come."
