45 Years Ago to the Day: February 19, 1974
One of the great QPR games: QPR played Coventry at Loftus Road in the replay of the Fifth Round of the FA Cup. With a couple of QPR players injured;moving into injury time with extra time set. A free kick to QPR. Stan Bowles took it. Ball in the net. Final Whistle blew immediately: QPR 3 Coventry 2.
QPR moved into the Quarter Final of the FA Cup for the first time, where they had a seemingly relatively easy draw against Leicester City....Unfortunately...!
