[It's ok. We've got Matt Hill[ Preston Official Site Williams Joins For A Month Posted on: Mon 15 Feb 2010 Preston North End have moved to bring in cover for injured skipper Callum Davidson, by signing Peterborough United left back Tom Williams on loan. The 29-year-old Carshalton-born full back spent two months on loan at Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers, returning to London Road at the new year and now joins up with his former boss here at Deepdale. Speaking about the new arrival the manager said: "He gives us that balance we've been looking for down the left hand side, as he is naturally left footed. "We have been playing right footed players on the left hand side and whilst the people who have been doing the job have done okay, Tom can give us that extra balance. "He knows the league, has good experience, he is quick and has good size. He is with us on loan and we will see how it goes." Williams goes straight into Darren Ferguson's squad for Tuesday night's trip to Derby County and has been allocated the No.20 shirt. www.pnefc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~1966111,00.html

Preston Official Site Williams: "I Hate Losing" Posted on: Mon 15 Feb 2010 Super Six Darren Ferguson's latest recruit is not at North End to lose! The left-sided defender spoke to PNE Player on his arrival and admitted that with 16 games left, there was still plenty to play for and he was hoping to play a part in a push for the top six. "I really hate losing!" The 29-year-old admitted. "I'm very pleased to be here; I jumped at the chance and I can't wait to get started, with two massive games in a week. "I spoke to a few of the lads and it is a squad that is determined and definitely has the ability to make the Play-Offs, we have seen that in the last couple of years. And with 16 games still to play this season, there are lots of points to pick up and we'll see where we can take it." Williams has plenty of Championship experience and admitted that knowing the manager and his staff could well help him to play a part in their efforts to get their style of play over. "The manager knows me really well. He knows what I'm about, how I train and play and I was pleased to get a call from him to say he wanted to take me on loan. I worked with all the staff and get on really well with them. "I know how they work and what they want out of a game and hopefully they like what I give to a game and I am really looking forward to getting started. "I give everything in a game, I am the worst loser in the world. I like to get up and down, have good delivery in the box and hopefully the fans will see that sooner rather than later."
