I was there with a Brentford Supporting schoolfriend. We were really dreadful that day.
Funny thing is that Brentford got relegated at the end of that season and QPR came third, just too late to pip the top two (Millwall + Hull(??) ). Rodney joined us about 3/4 of the way through the season (around March 1966 if I recall).

QPR finished third behind Millwall and the Champions Hull City Played 46, Home Won 16, Draw 3, Lost 4. Away Won 8, Draw 6, Lost 9. Goals For 95. Against 65. Total Points: 57. Top Goal Scorer:Les Allen 30. Mike Keen & Jim Langley were ever present and played in all 46 matches.
Keith Sanderson signed from 2nd Division Plymouth Argyle. He gained a Soccer Blue at Cambridge University.
