Swansea had a glimpse of an opening 22 minutes in as Rhian Brewster cleverly cushioned a Matt Grimes free-kick back across the six -yard box, but Celina could not react quickly enough.
The Swans were beginning to assert authority on proceedings, and Andre Ayew was unfortunate to see his powerful strike deflected wide off Connor Roberts after some lovely trickery inside the QPR area.
A lovely ball from Dhanda then allowed Roberts to drop the ball towards Ayew, but the Ghanaian could not reach the ball before a clearance came in.
But the pace of Osayi-Samuel and Eberechi Eze meant QPR were always a threat, and Woodman saved at his near post after the former had skipped away from Rodon.
There were no changes from either side at the break, and no change in the scrappy pattern of the contest early in the second half.
Celina briefly threatened to spark proceedings to life, driving forward to the QPR are, but his final ball was neither cross or shot and flew well wide.
