....and we go behind after 31 mins We were unlucky with the goal, deflected of Barbaret. We are playing well, everything coming out from the back, very attacking

Cameron played for the Under 23s at Reading this morning - as did Luongo. We lost 3-0 However, no sign of Wallace.......... Meanwhile Freeman scored for the Blades this morning.

According to people watching the stream & posting on LFW, BOS has hit the post & we've looked good.
The goal was a wicked deflection off Barbet.
Cameron & Luongo played in the under 23 friendly against readiong this morning.

Lumley just had a quick throw out to eze, superb turn and run a goal, out wide to Ossay, great through ball but just off side. Lovely bit of play. We look a far better footballing team than last year

I'm actually looking forward to going to Stoke next week!

just survived a 5 minute battering from Watford, lucky not to be 2 down but we dug in. A little of bit of misunderstanding between players but thats it to be expected.
Mass changes for both sides now

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a behind close doors friendly this week to give today;'s signings a game.
I get the impression that Lumley has been galvanised by the signing of Kelly & that would be really pleasing.

Shawcross suffered a horrendous leg injury for Stoke today.
Probably ended his career this afternoon.
Bad way to go out, if that’s the case. I won’t link pictures, it’s pretty nasty.

Was there today, the two signings announced at half time blindsided us, kind of exciting though.
Some of the playing out from the back gave me a heart attack but encouraging stuff. I liked how Mlakar was always on his CB's shoulder, looking to make runs. Neat, quick, not always very dangerous but definitely a decent showing today. Enjoyed it.

Just in case anyone fancied a 3 minute listen... No more Strikers in after Hugill but wasn’t sure if that means one more after Hugill or three ?

I sent along to yesterday’s match without any great expectations. I sat in the Lower Loft with some people that I regularly travel part of the way home with, but too low down to get a good perspective of the team’s formation. I suspect it was a 4-2-3-1, but if anyone suggested 4-3-3 I wouldn’t argue. It looked to be Smith and Ball in the defensive midfield positions and Amos playing between BOS and Eze, although there was a fair amount of interchange between the three of them.
I was impressed by Ball who was playing alongside Smith in the defensive two. He showed a lot of composure, a wide range of passing and was completely at home at the team’s fulcrum. Barbet was also very composed and, apart from one “Lynch” moment of defensive madness due to being pressed when playing out from the back, looked to be developing a good partnership with Hall.
I barely noticed Mlakar in the first half but that may have been because there was a forest of players between us and him. BOS continued where he left off last season with lots of threat but little end product. I’ve seen elsewhere that others nominated Eze as their man of the match, but I’m not sure why, but perhaps his better work was also obscured from my position.
Smith and Amos showed good energy until Smith’s lack of matches took its toll, but it took the introduction of a couple of substitutes to liven up proceedings. Shodipo was very direct and caused their fullback no end of problems, while Chair was so dynamic and positive. Watford wouldn’t be wanting to play against the pair of them every week.
As a group they seem to have taken to Warburton’s methods very well and show more off the ball movement than we’ve managed for a number of seasons. Hopefully Pugh or Hugill will be able to add some goals as well and we could end up higher up the table than many expect. I’m still think that our squad is too big and am very concerned that some of the players we need to be developing are not going to get enough match time, we need to be focusing on the future of the club not just the here and now.
