So he claims that he is completely innocent regarding the incident in the tunnel at Barnsley. However, now withdrawn reports claim that the Barnsley manager lost 2 teeth and was left blooded. There were many witnesses. Barton was stopped by Police when he tried to leave the stadium. A man has been arrested and bailed but not named. The police have asked that speculation on just who the arrested man really is should be curtailed. If it is not Barton - then ok. If it is Barton who has been arrested and if he continues to protest his innocence, if witnesses cite him - I think he will be finished in football. He has previous as a player. I don't think any club would touch him.

Its a funny co incidence, was watching Man City lose to Spurs in the Champions league match which Spurs won, because Aguero was deemed offside when the "winning goal" was nullified on the Video review, they kept mentioning Agueros two goals in injury time to beat QPR which gave the league title to Man City. QPR had gone ahead 2-1 when Joey Barton whacked Tevez in the shins and was red carded so we were down to 10 men, and then lost as we were overwhelmed by their offense. Amazing that the commentators still remembered that and brought it up. Then Man U blamed us for keeping them from winning league. Joey Barton should have been blamed, still, we could have lost with 11 men that season, where we stayed up on the last day of season. Some team above us missed a penalty ? Bolton? and allowed us to stay up for another miserable season in the Prem

Cisse and Mackie both scored to put us ahead.

It was 1-1 when Barton was sent off.
Cisse scored shortly after half time, Barton was sent off at around 65 mins and then Mackie scored with a diving header from Traore's cross not long after. Dzeko equalised from a corner after 92 minutes and Aguero scored their winner a couple of minutes later.

Thanks Roller for untangling my memory moments. Just recall what a thrilling game it was, also when we were safe to stay up whatever happened. Was it Stoke v Bolton and someone missed a penalty.?

Don't think there was a penalty miss but there was some controversy. Stoke's first goal came from Walters basically kicking the ball out of Bogdan's hands - kind of goal where 90% of the time the ref would disallow it. Then Bolton conceded a pretty soft penalty (cheers Crouchy!) which Stoke scored. Kind of penalty where "you see them given" but we'd have been livid if that had been awarded against us.
