Not surprising that our loan players have given our newly departed manager some glowing tweets when he gave them all a lifeline whilst so far there remains a deafening silence from our own players whose pitiful performances gave him the sack.
Regarding Eustace, why is he still here? Surely he is equally responsible for the team's horror shows as Mac is. Smacks of desperation and wonder if Ramsey was asked to hold the fort. Know what I would of said if I were him.

I think McLaren's performance is what gave him the sack, bit harsh to pin it on the players.
As for Eustace, someone has to take charge and, for the moment, it has to be someone who was already at the club so so could say that about any of them. It's quite common for the assistant manager to take over in these instances.

Worked out ok at QPR with Gordon Jago and Don Howe

After a performance ranking as one of the worst of the season, the post match comments were straight out of the McLaren songbook. He is a dead man walking and he knows it. The kit manager couldn't do any worse.

That's why I'd bring in someone other than Eustace for Millwall - Be it Ferdinand/Ramsey...Be it anyone out of work who'd do it for a couple of weeks (And I am sure there other out there)

I’ve only seen the Eustace team selection and performance for one game and think he’s dreadful. I reckon he could lose all six games left quite easily , seems a nice bloke, don’t make him Manager material though.
It’s a Get rid ASAP from me.

I’m sure that Ian Holloway would be prepared to catch a bus to work every day if it meant managing us again. What he would also do is re introduce a bit of passion and shape to this current squad of players who have no direction, purpose or leadership. Bring back Ollie and politely ask him to carry on where he left off and where Fernandes decided to shit on him from a great height. And just where were we when that happened? Well, admittedly not much further up the table than where we are now, but things did appear to be going in the right direction. Why on earth would we be talking about the likes of Sherwood when IH is out there waiting? it’s a no brainer for me. Ian Holloway’s blue army.

Aren’t we forgetting IH said he would only come back if a certain person asked him back, that wasn’t Les, so I guess he would want one of the owners to ask him back, the one that released him?

Maybe we should play the last six games without a manager. Make Eistner the player manager. I assume his english is good enough.

so we have got shot of the Wally with the brolly now we have useless Eustace 🙂 I would be surprised if he is in charge of Swansea, specially if Millwall beat us. There is the possibility of only being one match away from falling into the bottom three if we get another loss. I was chatting to my Birmingham friend the other day. We really could do with Birmingham losing there next couple of games so they still have to fight for points and not pack up for the summer as there last three games are Rotherham, Reading and Wigan. If they get another win against Sheff U or Ipswich they might start playing some kids for the last 3-4 games which won’t help our cause.

No me neither, Swansea or Blackburn at home Saturday and Saturday week I reckon. Although Swansea have just won there last two and they have Stoke tonight , followed by QPR Saturday then Rotherham and Ipswich, so they might be thinking a late surge into play offs is on the cards ...... Maybe Blackburn our best chance, by then could be 1 or 2 points off drop zone, no pressure then

Bring in Ian Holloway until the end of the season. He would galvanise the players and be a popular choice with the supporters.

dDLLLLLLLWLdLDLL Only QPR could come up with a run like this from being in eighth place. 11 losses, 4 draws and a single win. Absolute madness Hindsight’s a great thing but SM should have gone after Stoke dDLLLLLLLWLd, that was more than enough of a sign of worry. Had we got someone new in then, I’m sure we would have got more than 1 point from 12 with Bolton and Rotherham at home.

Messed him about already, so now just to rub it in we bring him in for 7 games then bin him off again for someone else? Actually sounds like the lame sort of trick our board would try, to be honest with you.

Actually sounds like the lame sort of trick our board would try, to be honest with you. Bring him back, let him stay. He loves us and despite the outbursts (poignant with Millwall coming up) I'll always like him and be grateful for what he's done for us. But feels like too much has happened now. After his last tenure, there'd be as many people annoyed at the idea of him coming back as those desperate for him to return - and that lumps more pressure on before he's even done anything. It feels a bit like that because McClaren ended up being a dud and not fulfilling his remit, that therefore Holloway did, and should be allowed to 'finish' the job. But I dunno, there were negatives too and he looks better with the benefit of hindsight. If we look back on the various message boards less than a year back, it's a very divisive scene between those who felt he'd done what he could under the circumstances and those who felt he'd lost control of the job with accusations of erratic team selections and bizarre outbursts. Of course, if people had no issue with his job first time around, that's moot. So yeah, I dunno. I'd be the first to say that I doubt we'd be any worse and probably in a marginally better financial state as no way Holloway would've been granted those four loans of that pedigree. But for all the ways I like Holloway, I'm not convinced him being back would be the best answer. Almost like the reasons that make him seem a simple choice (knowledge of players, love of the club, previous roles) are the exact things that make it complicated.

Something happened. We don’t know what but behind the scenes something went wrong. My guess is he said something to the owners that turned them off.
Otherwise he’d done enough. If someone delivers you don’t can them.
Anyhow, if a return was gonna happen it would be done by now.

If someone delivers you don’t can them. Anyhow, if a return was gonna happen it would be done by now. Makes sense. I'm going off the press and 'sources' and my memory, so not saying this is definitive, but the view from the board seemed to be based on two key problems. Firstly, the outbursts - the result, the tactics and the erratic behaviour before and after the loss at Millwall seemed to be a real tipping point at board level. And secondly, the perception that next season was all about our kids and who was best to develop them. And it seemed like there was a loss of faith at board level in Holloway being the right person in terms of ability and temperament to do that, particularly after some of the odder team selections. I think there's an inference there that McClaren was already being sounded out. Perhaps Fernandes already wanted McClaren, had a chance of grabbing him, so they look for excuses as to why Holloway has to go while keeping the apparent long-term plan on track. Who knows? Either way, that decision now looks increasingly wild considering that, with our loans both in and out, it's near impossible to actually field eleven players who are definitively going to be here next year. That was not the remit. For all the negatives of Holloway, he at the very least fulfilled his - stay in the division, integrate young players into the first team. The McClaren hire does deal with having a less bombastic manager at the helm and it's less 'erratic', but it certainly doesn't prove the point about the stewardship of the young players. I'd be a lot less angry about how this season has turned out if the sacking of Holloway was matched by McClaren or frankly anyone and keeping to the same plan. But we threw the plan in the bin for the hundredth time. I'd have certainly found it easier to stomach struggling to safety with our own players with the same long term plan and restrictions Holloway faced, than it is to see players who often have no future with us absolutely phoning it in, as they sadly have been for the last month.

That is how I've read the situation Bow.
I know that Roller feels (or felt) that the change of remit was also Tune's last push for promotion. I struggled to accept this initally, but I can't find another explanation for how the club have approached this season! It would also be the norm for Tune to make one statement for the general public & issue contrary orders to the management.
We have left the incoming manager, who & when they are appoinbted makes no difference, a real problem in assessing the ability of the players that he will inherit. As supporters, we don't know whether Chair, Smyth etc are as good as we hope due to McClaren not selecting them, so anyone looking on would be equally in the dark!
I've no idea where it will come from, but I still think we will find one last victory this season to avoid relegation. Remember the days earlier this season when I stated I didn't need three pints pre match to watch us play? I think that is now a minimum requirement!

Les clearly feels that Sherwood is the man for the job.
Regardless of what anyone else might think, he is the DoF and so this should be his call. Holloway was appointed over his head and so was McClaren. At least give him the chance to work with the manager of his choosing. If it fails then QPR fans who want to blame Les for everything, including no doubt Brexit, can justifiably continue their crusade to get him out.
Norwich were in a similar situation to us a few seasons back and they listened to Stuart Webber, their Sporting Director, who chose Farke instead of a lot of other names.
They gave Farke a remit, to develop their young players, and......... here’s the really important bit, they stuck with it. Even when, initially, it didn’t look like it was going anywhere, they persevered. Even when their fans moaned about the style of play, lack of big signings etc etc, they didn’t cave in and ditch the manager or the remit.
Norwich City will almost certainly now be playing in the Premier League next season.
If Les and Lee Hoos think TS is the right man to follow that remit then let Les bevallowed to bring him in and give it a proper chance to make it work.

Yeah Nomars probably right but Sherwood is a bit of a Knob and personally would rather someone else did get the job.
I find most QPR fans are realistic though and if he he started off ok, he would soon turn some of the more disgruntled fans who never wanted him around. However if he started very badly, that’s another story.
I would be amazed if it wasn’t one of Sherwood, Appleton or Bircham now and would guess it will be done and dusted by Friday before Saturdays game.

I really don’t care who it is.
I just want them to let Les get on with his job and carry out the remit that we are supposed to be following.
They really need to get it right this time, so get the man in that Les and Lee feel that can carry out that remit and lets get on with it.
