Him and Steve Wicks were an excellent combination. Not quite as good as Webby and Frank, but close to it.

Own goal at wet spam will never be forgotten! Well it had been completely until I read that. One of my all time favourites and the center piece of the set-piece-ploy at wembley! Still can't work out why we sold him. I remember he took a knock to the head and was stretchered off never to play for us again. My mum reckoned they got him to sign the paperwork just before he passed out and he woke up in a Leicester shirt. Made sense to me at the time!

I Think we sold him cos we had Wicks and Fenwick as our first center back partnership...
We had a young Alan McDonald coming through....
And in those days, we were a well run club, that tried to run the accounts smoothly.

I was at Upton Park for that own goal game too. He headed it into the net with enormous force, and my mate was a West Ham fan and laughed his socks off.
Great player overall for the Rs though, and he played really well in the 82 cup semi at Highbury. happy Birthday, Bob.

Happy Birthday Bob,
Another Rangers legend, there really was only 'one Bobby Hazell'.
Nice one Mac, Great memories of standing in North Bank aged 15 with my late Father on that day, who was to blame for brain washing me and me brainwashing my own lad.
Cheers,
Jay

Twas against Sunderland and he got clumped by a big oaf called Colin West I think. As you say, he was carted off on a stretcher that went past me on the touchline in Paddock. Big Bob was spark out with his eyes open... one of them had rolled up all white and the other had his inner pink eyelid half shut; looked well gory and zombie like - I was convinced he'd been killed.

I was lucky enough to meet him on my 60th birthday when my kids surprised me with a hospitality package.
He has really put on the pounds.....but he is still a happy smily man.
