With Austin, Phillips, Fer, Sandro, Green, all staying and with some of the signings we've made. Surely Ramsey talking about avoiding back to back relegation has to be a non issue now.
What's your expectations now?

Changed my prediction from 10th to 6th but still wouldn't be too unhappy if we finished somewhere between the two. A lot of variables still and the inevitable injury crisis that will need dealing with. Ramsey still has lots to do to get the team playing consistently well and putting the right tactics into play at the right time but everything seems to be heading in the right direction.

We probably have the strongest squad on paper can Ramsey make them give 100% and gel as a team. I have not been impressed with our performances so far this season. We were rubbish at Huddersfield and probably deserved nothing against a poor side.

To have 10 points at this stage is a bonus, we could quite easliy have 12. Even in the Charlton game we controlled a large portion of the 1st half and if we had scored when on top i think the game would have had a different outcome. Saying that Charlton have done well since. We were much better defensivley at Huddersfield and to say we were rubbish is way off the mark. Still have a number of new signings and the defence are getting to know each other. This break has come at a great time. I originally predicted 2nd and i was tempted to go for champions but that would be greedy. Still a lot of hard work obviously, only played 5games out of 46!. We will be very strong at home so to take 6 points on the road already is massive. Two home games up next, if we are in and around 20points after 10 games happy days. On paper we have a squad that should be challenging. Worth remembering nothing is ever won on paper, as we all well know

I think the main reason that we have 10 points is because of a kind fixture list. We need to improve a hell of a lot to keep up 2 points a game.

Sticking with mid-table. Might sound pessimistic but it's a lot of new faces playing together in a new system and the Championship is absolutely ridiculous so no idea what could end up happening. On paper though, injuries permitting, I think that's a play-off challenging starting 11. But I'd rather keep expectations lower - that way I'll be extra happy if things go really well and less disappointed if it goes to pot!

Might have put it a little higher...And we did get off to that so important not rooted at the bottom start!
But I think the current euphoria based on Austin/Phillips etc staying and Ramsey's 3 Wins is over the top. Let's see in 6-8 games...

I think any 'excuse time' must now come to an end. To have survived the window, ADDING to the squad rather than losing 2 key elements of the side is a bonus I suspect no one expected.
I had hoped for mid table, but losing Fer, Austin, Green and Phillips.
Given we have these players I would expect the bar to now be much higher.
If these players mentioned above can gel with the younger players and show some of the spirit of teams like Bournemouth, then there is absolutely no reason why this side cannot go on and challenge for automatic promotion.
So yes I have reassessed and I think the bookies have too as I had a 16-1 bet and they are now offering 10's for being champions.
Unless there is a massive injury crisis there can be no excuse to be challenging come Christmas meaning we have a similar non-event transfer leaving window and put ourselves in a good position to push on with a side that will be gelling and becoming better as the youngsters become more experienced and the side more balanced.

There were deficiencies in all our games so far including the wins.
So a cautious 11th place for me.

I changed from my original 15 th up to 10 th(Did have the proviso if we kept those 3-4 big players move upto 5 places higher though) so havnt really changed from what I said. Anything above 10 th I will be happy with . If we made the top six we have had a fantastic season. Anything below 10 th I would be disappointed with I guess, considering who we kept.

Its over. We did so much better than the last 3 or 4 seasons, when the agents came in droves for their massive contracts, for the Ferdinands, Bartons, too many other overpriced malcontents.

.No change for me. Sticking rigidly to 5th. Saw Cardiff at home and Hudd away. Very pleased with current squad. Pleased defence has been strengthened. We were fortunate not to concede at Hudd. Stating obvious but I felt we won because we took our chance and Hudd failed to take theirs.
Hope we get to playoffs, I would love to see us at Wembley , but do not get Premiership unless we get develop a solid defence that can dominate attacks and keep clean sheets, a midfield that can control and dominate a game and score goals and a forward line that can be relied on to score against any team.
I bought a season ticket and I hope to see us this season play attractive football, win home games regularly and not be taken apart by other teams. . I want to enjoy being an rrrrrrrrrrrs fan again and to be proud of my team.
I wish LF and CR could do this. This is a good start and they have my support in what they have done so far. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssssss

Keeping Charlie and Phillips was massive. I changed to 2nd and don't care what people think. I originally had 9th expecting Austin, Phillips and Green to move on. Even since the Cardiff game, the attacking half has looked dangerous. The more Austin, Phillips, Luongo and Chery play together, the better they look. While the Huddersfield game lacked some attacking, it was very important to see the backfield hold a clean sheet. I think the defending will continue to improve and once that part of the team gets rolling, this will become a very difficult team to beat.

Will still be happy with mid table as long as we continue to improve on & off the pitch.
Even if the team is good enough for promotion I'm not convinced that the club is!
Mind you, off the pitch has improved beyond my dreams since the start of 2015.

Do we really want to go up again so soon if we arent ready ? I know its the best way we could hold onto Charlie, Matt P etc but you dont win many games up there Championship is so much more fun . So many games too If we can some how go up and finish mid table, thats another story ........

If you stand back and take emotions out of the discussion, IF all fit, our current squad is a promotion chasing squad. If we should be promoted or are we ready to be promoted or will we be promoted, is another discussion.
If you asked every other manager in the league, if they would like to option of having Green, Sandro, Fer, Phillips, Cherry and Austin available to play for them week in week out, I reckon everyone would say yes. The flip of that is that no other team in the championship, has five or six players that would walk into our starting line up.
This does not include Luongo, who has started brilliantly as well.

Gotta be looking at promotion after the way the transfer window turned out , strong squad , would be disappointed in anything less , Premiership is the place to be .

Can I still urge caution, or is no one listening?
We have a thin defence and a large number of new signings still adjusting to a new system in a very competitive league.

Would be great...And that's true for every club going. And no one does it I think Burnley pretty much did it last year didnt they ? Cant think of a team that would have spent less than them to try and stay up unless you go back a few years to Ollie and Blackpool. Thats why Burnley can spend 5 Million on Gray and pay for Barton I guess.
