Morning... looks like a 4-4-2 longball special game. Odd coaching decision to have his 2 fullbacks on the bench.

Looks like the whole seasons work in training with the best system of play and best players on the pitch today Wrong tactics Ramsey..Reminding me of the Crystal palace game.

Get the feeling it's not going to be our day after the penalty save. Hope heads don't drop.

Why was Austins' penalty attempt, so half-hearted?

thought Charlie looked a bit "out of sorts today". seemed intimidated for the penalty. couple of things i didn't understand about today- why take Bobby off if he isn't injured? we caused them more problems with him on the pitch than off...and why, with 20 mins(at least) to go, didn't Chris gamble with Nico or Adel? they weren't causing us a whole heap of trouble, so we could have taken Karl Henry off and tried to win the 3 points... seemed to me CR didn't want to lose- but a draw is no good to us! i thought West Ham were there for the taking- we may well rue those 2 points dropped

Why was Austins' penalty attempt, so half-hearted? No idea, it was inexcusable really. Very disappointed in him, especially with the effort the team put in today. Austin scored a lot of goals for us this season, but his two penalty misses could very well have sent us down.

Tactics all wrong today , set up not to lose by the look of it , totally wrong in a must win game against a team who are on their holidays , what were you thinking Ramsey ? Let's have a total clear out next season , wouldn't or couldn't keep too many of this lot anyway . Review director of football position as well even if it is Les . This season was doomed when Redknapp was backed around October and then the disastrous transfer window .

Because our midfield performed well against Chelsea, Ramsey played the same four across the middle. We lacked a bit of creativity with that four against a team on their holidays. This would of been the perfect game for Taarabt to start. We are as good as down now and the game against Leicester wont even matter.

whole club in disarray--no,make that shambolic. from the pre season tour farce then the remy mess up it was all just waiting to unfold. i want to rant and rave but after 45 years of following the club which included an eyeopener in the late 70's and early 80's as the son of a then director,(what Jim Gregory would have made of all this I shudder to think), I now really fear for our future. I think TF and the Mittals must be at the end of their tether and but for the whole new development saga dragging on I'm sure they would go but we all know thats predominantly the one reason why they are still there. That said they have contributed magnificently to our litany of crass mistakes--for supposed top notch business men to allow us to sign so so many average/poor players on massive contracts is quite incredible and then to rubber stamp those mistakes appointing a coach with NO managerial experience at a pivotal moment in the season was incredulous!! Just look at Villa (sherwood),WBA(pulis),Palace (pardew) and maybe even Sunderland yet is evidence enough I feel! Surely in their business careers even they must have learnt the importance of appointing quality management within a business. The players have been nothing short of abject with the odd exception, with maybe only one or two able to hide behind baffling manager decisions on where they should play. And please dont let me hear of Austin for england again--I might upset a few but he's only an average player in a poor team and needs three or four chances for every goal he scores. We love to remember the goals he scored but look back honestly and the list is endless of the chances he missed too.

Fair appraisal to be honest. The writing has been on the wall for sometime, it just took longer than exepcted for us to accept it. One thing can be guaranteed, the players wages will still be rolling in.
