7 points MIGHT keep us up but just as easily may not; 9 points are far more likely to keep us up...
...that means we MUST beat West Ham and Newcastle at home,
leaving us with three away games to gain one further win...
...Liverpool - more vulnerable than ever before especially if they win their semi-final this weekend. Our best bet perhaps? ...Man City - ageing team who don't track back but possess attacking players that we will find difficult to contain on their own turf. Tough ask. ...Leicester - weakest of the three but if their PL lives depended on a result against us will be an extremely tough proposition roared on by a home crowd. Draw at best unless they're dead and buried (unlikely).
Anfield or bust? Or draws at Liverpool and Leicester to JUST keep us up?
Failure to beat the Hammers and Newcastle though will surely be the final nail in the coffin.

I agree that 35 points is probably good enough to stay up and I think it will come down to beat Leicester on the last day of the season but there are definitely winnable games in that final run...I don't think this team has laid down all year (accept perhaps Man U/Spurs away) and they're definitely up for it but perhaps just not good enough

At this time, Leicester, have played 31 games, QPR 33. IF they win both games, they go 5 points ahead.

I think that we are more likely to finish above Burnley, Sunderland and Hull

Things not going our way at the moment, Leicester 1-0 up against Swansea and Everton missed a penalty against Burnley.
Hold up, Everton 1-0 up now.

Leicester looks like they are going to get out of this mess. I agree with the OP, the West Ham and Newcastle games are must wins, then somehow get three points from the other three. 9 more points should keep us up, 10 definitely will.

I think Leicester and wba winning today was the final nail in our coffin... it'll be us, Burnley and most likely Sunderland now.

Leicester could well be safe by the time we go there!, 3 wins on the bounce. Burnley will go down they can't score goals.
Have to beat west ham next week and take it from there.

As I've said before it's no good relying on other results going our way,we need to win ourselves. Still possible IMO

According to Schroedingers cat thought experiment. Merely measuring the outcome determines the outcome itself. Outcome is relegation.

We will not beat Leicester , historically must win , not lose games we have come up short time and time again over the years , so poor defensively we won't be able to handle Leicester .

Unfortunately, inclined to agree with this. I just know that somehow our lot will eff this up. We'll be leading West Ham 2-1 with 5 mins to go and you just know someone will do something unbelievably and inexplicably stupid to gift them an equaliser.

You just know its gonna happen or we'll get another horrendous decision by a corrupt ref. QPR and controversy go hand in hand.

We have to win. Doesnt matter if we're down to 9 men. And the Ref hates us. We have to win. No excuses. No explanations, we have to win - Newcastle and West Ham...

Agree Mac, Newcastle and West Ham are definite must wins. I would also need to get something out of Liverpool/ Man City, hopefully win one or draw both. Then we have a little less pressure going to Leicester, which could either be the decider of who is staying up, or one of us is already down.

There the sort of games we should win. West ham 1 win in about 11 games and not an away win since December or something like that. Newcastle another dreadful team this year.
If Ramsey cant win win those two games, I wont be pushing for him as 1st choice next season.
Lets face it, the three teams Leics just won against (West Ham, West Brom and Swansea ) all have nothing to play for , games you want and must win.

Yes, we should beat West Ham and Newcastle teams with nothing to play for.
But I don't trust our defence as far as I can throw them. Knowing our lot we'll be leading 2-1 into the last 5 mins and someone of ours will pick the ball up in our penalty box, or give a back pass straight to Carlton Cole.
