Living in oz i don't get to watch much epl football. Last night however i watched the capital one cup final as it was on free to air telly. I was interested to see Chelsea play against a team on the rise in Spurs. Chelsea were absolute crap and still managed to win 2 nil. Is the gulf between the top teams and the so called second tier teams so big? It seems that there are now 4 divides in the premier league. Top shelf(Chelsea), second tier(Spurs), mediocre(Stoke) and strugglers(qpr). It gets so boring when the same teams win everything season after season.

It's pretty much the same in every top league though....
Serie A it's gonna be Juventus, Roma etc
Bundesliga it's just gonna be Bayern up there
La Liga it's just Barca, Real and Atletico Madrid
Ligue 1 it's Lyon, PSG etc
I would say the BPL is actually more competitive than all of those leagues.

I would say it's just spaced different in the Premier League. The title race is less open in the Premier League than in Spain or France, the only major difference is mid table teams are more likely to beat top teams. But there are still gaps in the table, just like anywhere else. Also, I was surprised to see the little amount of space between 8th to bottom in Spain, much closer than here.
