Yeah, thanks Mac. You celebrate Thanksgiving, we celebrate Australia Day, although this year a very controversial one. When we heard the news cast this morning, most of us thought it was 1st April, and not the 26th January. Knighthoods, is this country, were done away with about 24 years ago, but last year Tony Abbott became the Conservative PM, and he took it upon his self, without consulting his party to reinstate the honors. He and his parents came to the country in the 60s as Ten Pound poms. He is now the PM, and there is now doubt, if if ever signed the papers to relinquish British citizenship, and if he did was it after he became PM. At this time, he has not produced those papers. Back to the Knighthoods, which are Australian Knighthoods. Once again without consulting his party, he took it upon his self, to award two honors, one to a retired military man born in SCOTLAND, and the other, that beggars belief, the Queens husband, Prince Philip. Needless to say, the country is in a uproar, with some polls showing 100% against the honor being given to Prince Philip, a Englishman. www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2015/jan/26/tony-abbott-admits-colleagues-not-consulted-on-prince-philip-knighthoodWorthwhile reading the comments.

I hope you win but your teams pervormances leave a lot to be desired. Almost QPR in quality. Just let Nathan Burns get injured, we need him on Monday night.

Australia wins the Asia Cup 2-1. I feel a 2-1 victory coming over Stoke. It's an omen!

Lets be honest about the game, the 2nd best team got played off the park for 110 of the 120 minutes, won by bad defending for the first and even worse defending a a big grab of luck for the second. I was really disappointed with Australia in this tournament. I was expecting better, especially from Ange. South Korea should have been 4-1 up at half time but for some poor finishing.
Well done Australia? Not really. They won their 2nd title but have been having the rub of the green throughout. The only good news was Kruse getting carded for simulation and telling the referee to F*** off and on top of that, he's injured himself in doing it.
Tim Cahill was the Australian saviour for most of it. He still got the talent. Whether he would be up to EPL standard for QPR is debatable because i don't he would get the type of service he deserves. Hoilett, Phillips, traore are just not up for it.

Didn't quite see it the same way as you Lone. Felt it was a very even game. Sure Korea had some good chances, but so did the Socceroos. As for Kruse's card, how a ref can card someone so injured he has to be removed from the field by stretcher for simulation beggars belief in my book! ......but we all see things differently. The best thing for Aus IMO is that the next crop of Aussie footballers have proved that they can perform. I was really worried for our footballing future. Not any more.

It was only because it was Kruse that I laughed. He is as popular over here as nutpuncher Griffiths. That he got the card amused everyone over here. That had to rate as one of the worst refereeing decisions ever as the injury more than compensated for the bad acting. There were equally high kicking going on from both sides but the Australian players (like NZ ones too) need to learn this close ball control. It was excellent.
You have some very good players coming through, if given the chance. I have to say but your overseas based ones seem a tad overrated too. The locals are plenty good enough. Ange is a good coach, stick with him. He was excellent at the Roar. Nice guy, spent a hour or so with him down in Dunedin the other year. A genuine honest and proud man.
We disagree because I told the truth and you're a typical one-eyed Australian. That's normal and natural. The ying and yang of downunder.
