I know, let's sell Austin for 3 million and bug Andy Carroll for 15 million. That is the way this club sees things. Whereas, you and I would see Austin as the 35 million pound striker (Carroll's fee to Liverpool) and Andy carroll is worth about 500,000 due to high incidents of injury. I don't understand that Jack? Why would Redknapp sell Austin for £3m and buy Carroll for £15m, have I missed something?

You missed the irony on which my statement was based. I wasn't suggesting it is happening but the way this club currently works, I would not be surprised.

Was off board for a bit and there seems to have been a little bit of activity for some reason so as I tracked the posts back didn't pick up properly.

Funny old match, wasn’t it? We were so grateful to be only 1 goal behind at half time. West Brom looked threatening with every attack, I couldn’t see how we were ever going to score. The timing of our second goal was vital, the atmosphere picked up dramatically and I think that West Brom shrank as we roared our team along. Throughout the match our ball retention was, yet again, atrocious with J. Barton esquire, yet again, the biggest culprit. My other biggest bugbear would be Fer, without the ball at his feet he seemed totally disinterested and yet was still the second most likely player to score.
The lack of invention in the team is very worrying, why does Redknapp not start Kranjcar? He stands head and shoulders above the rest of the team in both control and vision. My other main question for our esteemed manager would by why he took Vargas off. Was he tired or carrying an injury? He was our sharpest player by a country mile.
A couple of random observations. Dear old Clint Hill slipped their right winger, who had given Yun a torrid afternoon, straight into his pocket; who says that he is too old and too slow? Does anyone else think that Dunne is starting to look tired?
Finally Charlie, what can anyone say that hasn’t been said over the last few weeks? As I said during the match, he is definitely not Thierry Henry, but drop the ball in front of him with no time to think and he will despatch it into the net on a regular basis. Where would we be without him?

Wonder if Sandro was fit if he would have been dropped by now ?

From tribal football QPR BOSS REDKNAPP TIGHTLIPPED ON AUSTIN CONTRACT TALKS www.tribalfootball.com/articles/qpr-boss-redknapp-tightlipped-austin-contract-talks-4054464?utm_source=main_feed#.VJYRAA0Ls Submitted by Tribal Football Staff 24 minutes ago QPR boss Harry Redknapp refused to comment on Charlie Austin's contract talks after his hat-trick in victory over West Bromwich Albion. Reports earlier in the week suggested former bricklayer Austin had turned down a new contract but Redknapp insisted he knew nothing of a potential deal. "I don't get involved with the contracts," he said. "Certainly Charlie is a player you want to keep at your football club. He has scored goals at every level and now he is scoring goals in the Premier League, he deserves it because he is a great lad."

How did you get that tweet Mac? I thought you had been banned or something by TF. Where there a will there a way I suppose. Well done! The Tony Fernandes Twitter ban on QPR Report does endure- a ban which suggests something about Tony Fernandes! - But as I said last week, it's easy to get around/read what he's tweeting.

Funny thing: I just went to look at the old Paladani-"Acolyte" QBP twitterfeed, which once in a blue moon, I pass by...- and I see blocked from that too. Last time I "popped by" that wasn't there.

Well you are popular Mac . Does he still exist? He went from being a QPR expert to a comms for the blind specialist to creating the QPR phone in show with his mate the bald eagle, and in his most recent incarnation was a horse racing expert/tipster I believe.

The exciting news is that QBP has assured his followers that Defoe will be playing for QPR in about 2 Weeks

Wonder if Sandro was fit if he would have been dropped by now ? Bringing Sandro and Henry into midfield, along with Dunne as a regular starter was what got this team to play better and I felt Sandro was playing pretty well before his injury. So I am guessing if he was still fit, he would be the regular starter with Barton getting the odd starts in midweek games and be a regular sub. Barton's form has been terrible this season and the only reason to justify starting him is lack of a better option, although I did feel he played better, but not great, against West Brom. It's too bad Sandro can't stay fit, as I think he could be a real difference maker for this team and would certainly be a better option than Barton.
