Do you keep Redknapp in situ and let him spend the money and bring in players he wants or do you think its time for change, a fresh approach and some new ideas?

Why change managers just because the transfer window's approaching?

I went down the no point changing , nobody could be expected to do a lot now not even Pulis. I can't see us spending much either this window ,maybe couple of loans, odd player etc .
Tone wants HR that's all that's important . I'm hoping he walks away in May whether we finish 17 th or 20 th and we can get a slightly younger Man .

Stick with Harry.
Its his team and a win on Saturday will see us out of the relegation zone. Maybe even a point will do that anyway.
Like it or not this is the team Harry has built so he needs to be given a chance to see it through.
No one is cut adrift yet so I don't see too many managerial changes down the bottom. Liverpool look most likely of any Premier League club to sack their manager.

Liverpool look most likely of any Premier League club to sack their manager. No one is adrift which is great . You say about time Nomar, Warnock got 20 Prem games , Harry has had 16 games not a lot iof difference in the pts column. Warnock also got away wins and didn't concede as many goals as we do now. i agree it would be stupid to change in January again but Harry Redknapp and his tactics have failed to impress me in 3/4 of his games . I set my levels high possibly but we do have good players , good enough to win an away game. I think you will see a couple of these bottom teams make a change between now and early Jan . Probably going for Pulis etc but they won't have much time . Sometimes though you can get a Manager that just clicks straight away. It doesn't happen often . Look what's going on at Birmingham for example, team looked dreadful few weeks ago , now with an Ex Blues player as manager I think he as only lost one game so far . Give Rednapp his season in the Prem but I wouldn't want him to take us any further whatever division we are in .

I do fear Harr, that if we stay up Tony and co. will try and get Redknapp to stay on. There was talk of a new contract in August? But for the poor start and the Adel outburst he would have singed a new deal already.

Surely the whole point is not how many away games we win or even home games it is all about the points we pick up against the 7-8 teams in the same relegation battle this is where our season is decided. So far we have beaten these teams at home and in the 2nd half of the season we can pick up points against them away then so what if we havnt got points against man utd spurs Chelsea everton etc. This is where we should judge HR and so far all is still to play for so do not see the need for pessimism

Yep! Most of us were posting that we would be happy ending up 17th and now it's linked to a good away record (well any away record lets face it, but not the sort of record we seem to be heading for - hey ho!). 17th would be ok with me, 16th would be better etc. etc.

So far we have won the winnable games and that should be enough. However in the second half we will need to beat those teams on the road and maybe even get a few surprise results over better teams at home. Burnley on the road will be a very interesting match to me. A win there will give me more confidence that this team stays up. But you are right, don't have to beat top half teams, although it helps. As a lot of the road games like Palace and Burnley will be very difficult, probably more so than middle to lower top half teams at home.

I see no need for pessimism. If I did, I would say things like, Yes we should replace Redknapp; and three quarters of rest of team. But since I won't say that because it might upset too many posters
and G-d knows, I hate upsetting people.
I just reviewed Indyrs who had many posters give their ideas on why the team performs the way it does. So Ive poached one of those, which Im sure won't upset too many people, though I can't
bank on it. QPR are a good Championship team. Seasons Greetings.

Wait and see........between now and the window, is what I was referring to, as the thread title says. I would very much doubt we can stay up without away wins, the run of home games to come from January is unlikely to produce enough points. The twenty or so points required minimum (assuming we have beaten WBA and Palace) will not come from those home games. The game at Turf Moor is a huge game and one which has to produce a win for me. Otherwise lets bring in someone for the future, beyond this season, lets have a fresh approach, everything to gain. Opinions eh.

Change Redknapp or dont change him. It will make no difference. Its a whole QPR management and structural problem that goes much deeper than Redknapp. We have been in Prem. 3 out of four years and barely won any away games. Last time under Hughes we went a whole string of winless matches before he was let go. That didn't help. We bought at all the windows which didn't help our performance, just badly increased our debt. This will get repeated in January, Im afraid.

All a bit late now Luta. , Pulis gone , probably to save WBA like he did with Palace last year. Wouldn't be fair taking ion someone like Sherwood or Laudrup with so few games unless they want to take on us next year in Championship if it happened.

Changed my view certainly after today, last straw.
Sherwood couldn't possibly do any worse than this.

The problem is that the squad has been imbalanced from the outset, but that the football is so so poor and there is clearly no training or coaching, the players aren't making progress, except Charlie of course.
I wonder of Hoddle would take the job until the end of season? Id take that option now.

I hear rumours about Hoddle being unpopular with the players? Why's that because he actually gets the players doing things they don't want to do . Maybe he's trying to improve them . Maybe Harry hasn't lost the dressing room because the dressing room is nice and cosy and why would the players want to change that when things are cushy and the £s keep rolling in . The Manager, Coaches and Players should be thinking tonight how dreadful a record it is to have lost all 10 away games, a disgrace. How many would though ?

Who would take job. Wuld he get a left back ,teach Isla to play better, not play Tarabt, teach them how to stay organisedd and play with vigour. Teach Barton to play with spine and direction. It would take a rare manger to get some blood flowing in this corpse of a team, bar Charlie.
