If the article is true and he is allowing Amit and Ruben more of a say in the running and transfer policy of the club then for me that can only be a good thing. I've said before that TF can be like a kid in a sweet shop when it comes to transfer dealings and so if there is someone there to slap his hand when he's trying to undo the lid hopefully it will stop us making some of the awful mistakes of the past. His relationship with managers makes it very difficult to say NO to them so the other two helping with transfers can deflect him falling out with the manager.
Feel we all want the same for our club to be secure financially which will also give us stability. I would agree we are a long way from that at the moment but also feel we are so deep in now that honestly we have little option than to see where the TF train takes us. COYR'sss

If Fernandes has a problem with how people interepreted the story; or feels that what he said wasn't what was published: he probably should go back to the person who published the article/did the interview.

COYR'sss Agree, as long as this isn't Tony working his way out, just moving the bulk of the responsibility of running the club to them, I could actually see this as a good thing. This is pretty much what I said in my first post about the subject. I don't see these two giving Harry whatever he wants and IMO that's a good thing. Although he is getting better at saying no, he still budged on Rio, when his gut said otherwise.

Anyone think though that this Fernandes quote was just made up by someone on Twitter?
I don't. But there are those who said that

I'm trying not to worry about Fernandes, if it was made up surely he would have stated it was a fabricated story when he replied to you On Twitter. More worried about Redknapp and why we only have 8 points at the end of November.

It is not a surprising statement given this information
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 (Reuters) -
AirAsia X Bhd, the long-haul, low-cost affiliate of AirAsiaBhd, appears to be encountering greater turbulence. It is saidto be facing payment problems relating to staff salaries andtheir fixed and variable allowances, sources close to thecompany said.
In view of the financial problems, according to the sources,AirAsia co-founder and group chief executive Tony Fernandes willtake on a "more prominent role" in the management of AirAsia Xto revive the airline.
In a circular seen by The Edge Financial Daily, AirAsia Xstaff were informed that payment of their wages and allowanceswould be on a staggered basis for the month of October.
The airline business is where TF made his money and therefore where he needs to concentrate his time and efforts.
My financial concern for QPR remains that we have very little in terms of sponsorship apart from Air Asia products (it has always seemed to me to be a very short sighted not having a sponsor outside of 'group') and if Air Asia are having problems paying staff then this indicates that the Airline must be having cash-flow issues. Eventually if this continues for an extended period, it must have an impact on us?
I'm not sure how 'football savvy' the rest of Board are and once again unless the points situation improves over the coming weeks, the transfer deadline merry go round may see us again invest in some last minute pay day johnnies on ridiculous contacts that will handicap the club in the future.

Just as FYI: Before Tony's tweet, local journalist Rob Brennan tweeted yesterday "@robbrennan82: @paulfinney1969 Ruben is now in charge of transfers. I know that much."

Anyone think though that this Fernandes quote was just made up by someone on Twitter? I don't. But there are those who said that No, I think it's obvious the quote isn't bogus even though Tony refutes it. Maybe he is just concerned people will see it the wrong way of him pulling out. He has to deal with these accusations pretty much since day one, although paranoia can be understood with the Caterham situation. Considering the situation with Air Asia, it makes sense for him to spend more time with his main business since it is the money maker, and for now I don't think it's much to panic about. If anything it might be a good thing, as Ruben and Amit seem to be less sentimental to the managers and make decisions more based on business. They were just as bitter about the first run in the premier league and the nightmare wages paid to a hopeless team, and I am fairly certain they were the ones against Rio and now Defoe. One thing is certain, it should be interesting to see what happens in January.

I think its only right that if you have various concerns and one of them is having 'bit of a wobble' then it should be attended to as a matter of priority, especially if that concern is the largest element of the business portfolio. It seems to me to be entirely the proper thing to do. It's not as if he's left the club bereft of officers without footballing nouse - a steel magnate, a cement magnate and a sea port magnate - and a ceo who knows about developing stadiums. Sorry about that - I couldn't help it! I really don't believe its a cause for worry in all honesty.

I'm sure he will still be the Chairman but that doesn't mean that he will be the decision maker.
Ruben looks to me as the man who has really taken Queens Park Rangers to his heart & I think (only based on gut reaction) that he will be looking more long term.
As far as I'm aware, no shares have changed hand's, so our ownwers are still the same. However, it is certainly possible that Tune have decided that they want a different man, with different views as their main man. Not sure how TF would/could cope if Old Oak is not on the cards.

Geez guys. I go off the board for a few days and come back to find out that the sky is falling in. We all know TF is prone to exaggeration, that some people make up or embellish stories and that the world of football is full of ups and downs. Now everybody take a deep breath and stay calm, the sky isn't falling in!

Year ago...
Around that time, TF "Blocked" me on Twitter. (Changed my life!)
I'm not sure though in hindsight, how it was "absolute rubbish!"
