If Onahura, Sandro and Green are fit, I would play them ahead of McCarthey, Hill and Fer. If Barton is fit, I would play Henry and Barton in the middle.
---------- McCarthy ---------- -- Caulker -- Dunne -- Hill -- --------- Henry - Fer --------- - Isla ---- KranjÄŤar ---- Yun - ------ Vargas - Zamora ------

If all of the squad are in contention:-
McCarthy Ned, Caulker, Dunne or Hill Isla, Henry (can't believe I'm typing that!), Barton or Sandro (whoever can last the longer), Yun Vargas Austin, Zamora
I hope that Fer is nowhere near the starting line up & I would much prefer to see Niko playing than him. I can't understand how anyone would put him in a defensive midfield position as he has never played there & his record of defending is close to the level of Rodney!

McCarthy (put some pressure on green)
back four of
Yun (stays until injured) Caulker Onuha (if fit at centre back) Isla
Joey (but not on free kick duty) Fer (been ok with exception of liverpool game) Hoilett Taarabt (if you want it show it)
Vargas Bobby
And as Harr says keep Rio and phillips in the changing room!!

McCarthy Onouha, Dunne, Caulker Henry, Sandro Isla, Vargas, Yun Austin, Zamora
You've got to push the wing backs forwards and make the holding midfield players fill in where required at the back.

Good God Roller, If we discount my two either/or's we have the same side & virtually the same formation! Never let it be said that those who drink together can't think together!

Why would we play 3 at the back with 2 holding midfielders? We are at home against villa for heavens sake!
I will settle for harrys team.

I don't see there is much choice to be honest Terry. Fer maybe, but that is it (fitness and incompetent manager aside)

We would then have five forward players as opposed to our normal one or two! Three at the back can be a very attacking formation providing the manager is prepared to go forward.

I think even Redknapp saw enough of Vargas to start him . Redknapp will start Austin and Vargas , Tarbs on the subs bench . Will Rio be back though

Sandro gets one injury after another. No wonder he didn't play that much for Spurs. Dealy Meal says Taraabt good chance to start. Clint Hill, lovely in football league not in Prem like the Irish International
Dunne. Withut intense will to win and make sensible correct distribution of ball and pacey rangy runs, we will not fair well.

It increases the our chances of one of them doing the job properly It take your point, but it releases Isla and Yun (please) to push further forwards where they can do more damage knowing that there is adequate cover behind them, but does then give us the flexibility to change formation should we stumble into the lead and start to panic.

Same starting line up as against Liverpool with perhaps Hoilett coming on instead of Phillips and perhaps Vargas instead of Austen.

Redknapp's presser; no clues as to the line up
Lots of questions about you know who, I almost felt sorry for him.
