Bushman & Roller.
Are either or both of you going to be there?
It looks as if it could be an interesting evening if Mr. Beard is going to defend his stance on the Lower loft! The thread's on not606 & LFW are well worth reading.

from this board, Mark has very kindly agreed to go. But this is not a Fan forum. This is with the Communications Department not Phil Beard. I'm not sure how public the scheduled agenda is, but it was posted on dot,org qprdot.org/viewtopic.php?t=74156

The thread's on not606 & LFW are well worth reading. I'll be there Terry. As you may have seen from the thread on Not606, I've exchanged emails with Ian Taylor about this, it will be discussed. For those who don't know what we are banging on about, the club are going to refuse entry to season ticket holder in the Lower Loft Family stand if they do not have a child (Under 21) with them.If the child cannot attend the season ticket holders have to e-mail the club before the game and they will be re-allocated to somewhere else in the ground! You couldn't make it up.

WTF ? I would be livid if i had paid all that money out. Smells of double dipping. If they want to fill empty seats, they should give away directors box tickets. That seems empty every friggen game.

Safe Terry.
If anyone has any questions or issues that they would like to be asked or highlighted at this fans meeting, please simply post them up in this thread and I'll ask them.
Personally not knowing much (anything) about Facebook or Twitter any direction from fellow posters on here would be much appreciated.
I have thought of a new hashtag though: #keepthelowerloftRs

You could!!! Considering not606 had not received an invite to this one, or the one before from the club

Is it viable? Do the club understand how much damage they are doing by having this area in the lower loft? Nothing wrong with the idea of family/child friendly areas per se but going about it in this way does more harm than good.

Nothing wrong with the idea of family/child friendly areas per se but going about it in this way does more harm than good. That section is held back in case the away team wants to increase their allocation, which I believe is required by the Premier League rules (but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). Even if that isn't the case, we couldn't put the family stand under the away supporters, they would get showered with all sorts. Moving it anywhere else would upset another section of supporters. They've loused it up and now have to build a new stadium to rescue the situation. Their current brainwave is, of course, rubbing salt in the wound. Just like politicians, they can't leave anything alone.

Ok, then what was wrong with waiting until we move to this super 40000 seater stadium and then they could have as many family friendly areas in the ground as they want? From reading a page on the lfw thread I notice that there had been no discussion or consultation with fans about changing the lower loft for this purpose, is that right?

From reading a page on the lfw thread I notice that there had been no discussion or consultation with fans about changing the lower loft for this purpose, is that right? I don't know where the initiative to have a family stand originated (Mac may have something on his blog somewhere), but I'm sure that there was no fan consultation before its implementation; let's face it, it wouldn't be in the Lower Loft if there was.
