... @tonyfernandes: Lucky I signed Nico on deadline day. He played his heart out. @tonyfernandes: We got to be real though. We need lots of work defensively. @tonyfernandes: With two injuries. And sandro also out. Come out Dr Peter let's get them fit. Thank you nico. Thank you all ... t.co/msg8raAfdp@tonyfernandes: Fans got to remember to lose two midfielders would be a blessing w to any team. Well done to Karl Henry to to come in and Matty.

Can't disagree with any of that. Lost too many midfielders, defensively this team needs work but most of all no more Isla at RB, and Nico looks great.

have to say I have been critical of Karl Henry in the past but today i thought he played really well when he came on ,his tackling and passing even showed up some of the new boys ,isla for me at the moment is a liability at rb ,think Ned could do a better job ,good to see they at least showed some character in fighting back for the draw after being behind twice ,onwards and upwards urrrrrrrrs

Is Ferdinand droppable ? Awful today just strolls around , I only saw him win one header late on , surely Onouha would be better partnering Caulker . Yes Isla was poor and didn't look confident but still feel he'll be an ok player , striker situation most alarming , why was anyone actually believing that Remy would stay should've lined up a replacement early doors

I felt the same and when he came on I feared the worst. Pleasantly surprised, almost a safe pair of hands. Thought he did well.

Why did it take two injuries for us to actually get a balanced team?
Starting the match with two central defenders, two wing backs and no holding midfielder was bizarre. It was only when Philips gave us some proper attacking width and Henry some cover for the back that it really started to come together. Up until then all our attacks floundered trying to pierce the middle of their defence and we were far too easily ripped apart by the pace of their breaks.
Who can predict next week's formation?

Both Goals coming from Isla not blocking a cross and Rio not marking his player. I wish we had kept Simpson, and I would like Onuoha to be given a chance.

Unless West Brom and Palace both win we will still be outside the relegation zone at the end of this round of games.

QPR Official
RIO FERDINAND TAKES POSITIVES FROM STOKE CITY DRAW
QPR defender Rio Ferdinand draws on positives after 2-2 draw with Stoke City ... RIO Ferdinand was keen to focus on the positives following Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Stoke City at Loftus Road. Niko Kranjcar’s superb late free-kick helped Harry Redknapp’s side gain a valuable point, after the R’s twice came from behind in W12. Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Ferdinand said: "It’s a very valuable point and we have to look at it as a point gained, having come back twice. "We showed great character to come back into it and that's credit to the lads. "You have to say it's a good point, even if we wanted all three.” He added: "Every time we went behind, we got back on the front foot and put them under pressure. "We showed great resilience and character to get back into the game. "We have to take the positives. "Leroy (Fer) showed his quality – I thought he was the stand-out player on the pitch. "He set the standard, especially in the second half – we have to set ourselves such standards now going forward. "If we do that, we'll give ourselves a good chance of staying up. "When we go away we have to be more solid as a team. If we can do that, I'm sure we'll be in this division next season." Former R’s striker Peter Crouch scored one and made another on his return to Loftus Road, but Ferdinand – like Redknapp and most of the Loftus Road crowd – believes he was fouled by the Stoke number nine in the build up to Mame Biram Diouf’s opening goal. "I though their first goal was a foul from Peter Crouch,” he said, "and they scored from our own mistakes for their second. "To be fair to them, they took those two chances clinically. "Stoke played very well – they beat the champions Manchester City in their last away game – so we knew they were going to come here and put us under pressure.” Read more at www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/210914-rio-ferdinand-takes-positives-from-stoke-city-draw-1931913.aspx#POSFbeseFg92OOrA.99www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/210914-rio-ferdinand-takes-positives-from-stoke-city-draw-1931913.aspx

Rio, sadly, is not the answer. But neither is Dunne or Hill. Onuoha has never fully convinced me at this level though.
Part of the problem is that we are playing with a completely new back line and that was their first full game together. None of them know each other that well yet.
Leicester and Burnley had settled back fours from last season so both have looked more organised defensively than us.
People wanting Simpson back would soon moan about his lack of attacking prowess so I don't see the point in digging out Isla. Give him a chance to settle and I think he'll be fine. Barton was more at fault for letting Moses get the cross in for their first goal as he should have closed the space down between himself and Isla.
Rio is probably undroppable but I fear a Park like season of diminishing returns is about to happen to us with him. Allowed Crouch to mug him all day and needed to be stronger for their 1st goal.
If Sandro is out for the season and Barton gone for a while that will hurt us. Fer and Henry will need to protect the back four.
Philips showed one good run yesterday and a terrific cross that was inches away from Charlie's head. We need to be seeing more of that from him.
We could also do with a certain Morroccan getting fit cos there's a crying need for creativity in the opposition final third.

Well Roller, after giving further thought & consideration to the conundrum of what our shape was meant to be at the start of the game, I have come to the conclusion that our conversation (roller, col & myself) at half time still applies. I HAVE NO BLOODY IDEA! No width & all four in midfield patrolling the same ten yard circumference. Please somebody explain this to me.

(Rio) ...needed to be stronger for their 1st goal. Not really - Crouch fouled him, had two hands on Rio's shoulders, so he simply could't jump. Should have been our free kick. Barton off the pace, though understandably with a hamstring problem.

Barton off the pace, though understandably with a hamstring problem. I watched the match on BT Sport and commentators were saying we should have had a definite penalty for Shawcross holding Caulker in a bear hug during corners. One of theirs that shouldn't have been allowed and a penalty we should have had, 3-1 to us - wouldn't have deserved it but I don't care about that.

Look at what Leicester are achieving against Utd.
Simply by attacking them and getting in their faces. Now 4-3 up as I type.
Everyone associated with our club should hang their heads in shame at that surrender last week. Utd are bang ordinary defensively and we did nothing to them.

West Brom leading at Spuds. Don't tell me that they will win and Burnley too to put us in the relegation zone! We deserve it too. Maybe the wake up call they need to actually start playing like they want to win games. Leicester leading 5-3 now. Light years away from anything we'd ever do in this league.

One can of course say "All's well than ends well" - but if look back to last season: Game after game, we were wondering what Redknapp was doing re Team selection....

Promoted Rangers looked to be heading towards a fourth Barclays Premier League defeat before Croatian Kranjcar, on loan for a second season from Dynamo Kiev, picked himself up after being fouled 20 yards out to whip the ball over the wall and into the top corner. Redknapp had seen his pre-match plans hit by injury to Brazilian midfielder Sandro, while captain Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch both went off with hamstring problems. Niko Kranjcar (L) scored a wonderful free-kick to earn QPR a 2-2 draw with Stoke City Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is concerned by an injury crisis that has left him with only two fit midfielders With the likes of Chile forward Eduardo Vargas, handed his first Premier League start, and on-loan Juventus defender Mauricio Isla still settling in, Redknapp can do without a selection headache ahead of next weekend's trip to high-flying former club Southampton. 'We lost Sandro in training this week, then we lost Joey early on with a hamstring, and then Jordon has to come off as well, so I have gone from having five midfielders on my books to being down to just two,' he said.
'Sandro hasn't played, and that has been the problem with a lot of them - they came in as a last-minute job.
'We started the season with just 12 players, and had to go find some quickly.
'We brought players in, they were not up to speed and they need games.'Joey Barton (2R) was one of two QPR players forced off with a hamstring injury Redknapp, though, was able to take encouragement from the character shown by his side, who had trailed to an early goal from Mame Diouf before a downward header by Steven Caulker was hacked into the Stoke net by Peter Crouch off Charlie Adam to pull things level. Crouch then put the visitors ahead on 51 minutes, only for a string of wasted chances on the break to prove costly as QPR rallied during the closing stages, which Redknapp hopes can act as a springboard for the challenges ahead. 'The two away games have been difficult,' he said. 'We got well beaten, but we have played Tottenham and Manchester United - they are not games where you look at the start of the season and think 'we are going to go there and get some points'. They are very difficult games, and not too many teams are going to go there and win. 'There are other games, with the teams around us, that we have got to look to win.' While Stoke only have themselves to blame for failing to come away with all three points, manager Mark Hughes preferred to concentrate on the positives from what was his first return to Loftus Road since being sacked in November 2012 after just 10 months at the helm. Stoke boss Mark Hughes praised the performance of on-loan Chelsea forward Victor Moses As well as the industry of Crouch, who had interested his former Portsmouth and Tottenham boss Redknapp in the summer, on-loan Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses was a constant threat down the flanks. 'Victor has been excellent in every game he has played for us, and has had an effect, given us that pace which we probably lacked last year,' Hughes said of the 23-year-old former Wigan winger, who was a fringe player at Liverpool last season. 'He has had two years where he has not played a lot of football, and that is not because of a perceived lack of ability, but he is going to get opportunities to play for us and we have been delighted with what he has produced.'

Fed up with all the talk from this lot.
Put in a shift like Leicester did today, or WBA or Palace and then they can talk. Until then its all just BS as far as I'm concerned.
Win an away game and then I'll take them seriously.
