What amazes me is that the likes of Taarabt can decide he doesn't want to a) lose weight and b) train. Surely he is in breach of contract? Or is that too simple? I expect his agent has got it all tied up so we can't get shot of him on such grounds. These sharks have much to answer for. I shall be totally p****d off if he gets in the 25 but I know he will! Everyone in this Forum is apparently hating on Taarabt, it is evident that he does not want to play for QPR, and I do not blame him; the team is relegation bound, as it is built with 20 plus misfit players, just like building a car with parts from every car make and model. He is one of the few talented players in the EPL and in the World, few players can take on defenders the way he can, if he can be less selfish, he could easily become top 10 payers in the world with a value of &50,000,000 or more. The owners would not let him go for reason, all of you geniuses here are just talking hate, my guess that he will let his contract expire or Someone will step up and buy it out, He was the best player in AC Milan over-shadowing Kaka, Balo, Honda, Ronaldinho and the rest, his hype in Italy was unprecedented for the few months he played there. if I were him I would buy out the contract from The R's, and free my self to shine in the world stage, what good is money if you are miserable. Milan Happened to be flat broke for whatever reason, and his heart was set on playing there and nowhere else, none of the top 5 EPL teams even appeal to him, their style of play is just blend, Adel likes the art of football and to entertain, When he's Happy He's Magical, and no one decent player is happy playing for Arry or playing along side Crazy Barton. I really hope he leaves England sooner rather than later so He can shine the way he is capable of doing. Set him free.
Deanmouk, Adel is not hated by QPR fans, quite the opposite in fact, given some of the brilliant football he has given them....they are just frustrated, his talent is there for everyone to see and the club pay him very well do deliver that service as he is a proffesional. So his attitude when things were difficult (sent home from training camp) and comments made last season are there for all see. Milan had every opportunity to buy him....and thier tactic to obtain the player you say has the potential value of $50 mill+ was to try and get him on the cheap.... Surley our club is allowed to also recoup their investment in this player as well and I believe it is still a good place for him to shine, ply his trade and become the player you say. But if he is as desperate to leave as you think ....he could always be a man put his money where his mouth is and Invest it with with Milan and buy his way out of the contract he so readily signed in 2012. I wish him nothing but luck either way!

Hello deanmouk. How long have you supported QPR? Not long, I would suspect, if ever. If you were a long time supporter you would understand just what we are talking about here - which you obviously don't.

Welcome Dean, I hope you become a regular poster. Unfortunately, even if Adel buys out his contract he cannot now join another club until the January transfer window as FIFA regulations would not allow it. That means Adel must make the best of his situation at QPR. I think QPR are also trying to make the best of the situation by putting Adel in the 25 man squad and with HR's recent praise of Adel. There was a time that we worshipped Adel but he scorned our adoration by failing to keep himself in condition or turn up for training. Sadness becomes frustration and frustration becomes anger but I do not think he is hated. Football fans are fickle and if he applied himself between now and January we could worship him again. I do not think that will happen though. Do you?

If Adel was only intelligent enough he would realise that all he has to do is lose weight, attend all training sessions, show a little commitment, humility and team spirit. The net result would be performances such as those we have seen before which would inevitably enhance his value on the transfer market - although nothing like 50 mill! - and his level of wages. He would become a prize catch for any club, we would show a nice profit on him (as would Spuds)and he would be overjoyed to get away from the awful people at QPR. But, I repeat what I said in my first sentence ................ If Adel was only intelligent enough.................
♫♫We love you Adel, we do. We love you Adel, we do. We love you Adel, we do. Oh Adel, we love you. ♫♫

Taarabt can still offer much much more to this club than SWP can dream of. When playing at his best he was awesome to watch. Perhaps with this decent squad he can rediscover that promotional form again and for once play to his potential. He played his best in the CHAMPIONSHIP and for two seasons failed in the Premier League. He was actually so bad (on and off the pitch), he was kicked out of two clubs in one season, but funny how that is never mentioned. The guy is a complete waste of space, he has no respect for the club, fans or fellow professionals and the sooner he is sacked or sold the better.

Fernandes www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/adel-taarabt-will-be-a-qpr-star-this-season-says-chairman-tony-fernandes-9708262.htmlEVENING STANDARD Adel Taarabt will be a QPR star this season, says chairman Tony Fernandes Forgotten man: Rangers chief confident Taarabt can shine this season Simon Johnson Published: 03 September 2014 Updated: 11:13, 03 September 2014 Tony Fernandes has backed forgotten man Adel Taarabt to be the surprise package in the Premier League this season and help keep QPR in the top flight. Midfielder Taarabt was sent out on loan to Fulham and AC Milan last season and he was hoping to secure a permanent move to the Italian giants this summer. However, AC Milan refused to meet QPR’s £6million asking price for the midfielder and Fernandes is now expecting big things from Taarabt, who has been brought back in from the cold for the past two games. The QPR chairman said: “I think Adel will be a surprise for many this season. He’s focused and wants to stay at QPR. He can turn games around in a few minutes, so it’s important to have him. “He is happy to be here. He was the best player at Burton Albion last week [in the Capital One Cup], even though we lost. “Like many people who wrote off Joey [Barton] — and he was key for us last season — Adel is going to be something special. “People have forgotten him a little bit but he can do extraordinary things. At AC Milan last season he was quite special.” Fernandes also believes midfielder Niko Kranjcar will contribute a lot more to the cause this term, having re-joined the club on loan for a second season from Dynamo Kiev. The former Tottenham and Portsmouth player looked sluggish in the Championship last term but Fernandes said: “Niko has worked on his fitness, he has lost a lot of weight and is raring to go. He brings a great spirit into the dressing room, he knows us and is glad to be back.” Kranjcar took a 65 per cent pay cut to move to west London and he admitted: “I did [make sacrifices] but it’s not something I need to elaborate on. The most important thing in life is to be happy and I will be happy at QPR and in the Premier League. “I want to prove that once again that I can give a couple more good years in the Premier League. Those are the motives why I came.” One Rangers player not so happy with QPR manager Harry Redknapp is Danny Simpson, who was stunned to be sold to Leicester City at the weekend. Simpson was a first-team regular during QPR’s successful promotion campaign and he started the first game of the season against Hull. But Simpson has been moved on to make room for Juventus right-back Mauricio Isla, who has moved to Loftus Road on a season-long loan in view of a permanent deal. Simpson said: “I was quite surprised when Harry Redknapp pulled me into his office and said Leicester had made an enquiry and that he was happy to let me go. “I had enjoyed a good pre-season and was ready to hit the ground running in the Premier League, so it was a little bit of a shock after the year I’d had. “I thought about what he said and decided I wanted to play for Leicester City and improve my opportunity for first-team football. “Harry’s brought in a lot of players, so you have to respect his decision. However, I am ready to push on with Leicester now and work as hard as I possibly can.”

I can't think how QPR could give Adel more chances to prove himself as a £50m footballer. However he, much like your self, is arrogant and deluded. To slag off Redknapp and Barton because no one is willing to buy Taarabt for £6m is childish and shows your total lack of football knowledge. If anyone is to blame for Adel's current position, it is Adel alone.

TAARABT The Marmite of the football world . Maybe working under Hoddle will be a good thing for him? Lets give him a few games seeing as he's in the 25 anyway . You never know these new systems might even suit him, he might get fit, stop throwing strops and get his head down . On the other hand As far as I am concerned the 25 in the squad are to be used .Harry, Glenn and TF put them there so lets see how they do uptil the end of the year. And lets not forget there a couple of others in that 25 mentioning no names SWP and Traore that Harry probably want rid refused to go elsewhere but we will be using these sometime over coming weeks .

Things are getting pretty ridiculous in this thread. If you would have asked me before the season started if I wanted to keep Adel I would have said no without thinking about it. But obviously now that he is here, Harry and TF want to get the most out of him. That isn't going to happen if they constantly put him down and harass him. Harry isn't going to just sit around and insult him, but he does expect more from him. Harry was happy with his performance against Burton and realizes he could add something to the team. As much as it seems Harry doesn't like him, he did play him quite a bit when he first came in. Call me crazy, but Adel could be this year's Barton. At the very least, Harry gets some good games out of him and moves him in January. Either way, Adel playing well for this team would be a good thing and it is a possibility. It's clear he doesn't want to stay here, but I think what Harry is doing is making him realize the way out and up is performing here for the time being. Also if Harry disliked him so much, he probably wouldn't have put him on at the end of the Sunderland game for seemingly no reason at all. Am I saying that I love and adore the guy? No, but I am also not going to compare him to SWP.

If he grabs his chance and makes a contribution he might leave us with a pat on the back and thanks for what might have been. Personally, I think he will squander this latest chance along with all the others he has had. On that point you make about SWP - just a general observation that I think we are all starting to demonise SWP a little too much. His form has been awful and he seems to have forgotten how to play properly but his heart is in the right place so that should not make us hate him. He actually tries very hard and I have not heard any reports that he is not fit or does not train correctly. His form is just very very bad and his place in the squad is tenuous because of it.

This is not a potential debate because we all know what he is capable of. Maybe the penny will finally drop.He will keep getting chances because he is our player until he leaves. I rate him, you don't. Its all about opinions.

Most people I know think Harry put him on in the 90th minute v Sunderland as a farewell, as Adel wanted to go and he expected him to leave in the Window. Regarding him playing, assuming we will be playing one up front and until he is injured, that will probably be Austin, who will play behind him ? Adel or Fer (no chance and if he did Harry would need slapping) Adel or Vargas (unlikely as apparently he offers the team more with his pace and directness) Adel or Niko (Nope, as he is Harry's boy) Adel or Mutch (Its a potability, but I don't think so as JM had a good season the PL last year and cost a few quid) On all counts, on the basis the others are all fit and healthy, Tarrabts To Fat For You don't get a look in and to be honest, he does not deserve a look in for the way he has acted, what he has said and the state of his fitness when he came back.

I am not questioning SWP's attitude, workrate or his fitness. This is the reason he wasn't sent to an obscure middle eastern team to rot with us paying most of his wages. I also agree that even for himself, his form is very poor. But the fact remains since arriving, he has proven he is not a Premier League player. I felt he did well in the first part of the Championship season last year, and that is truly his skill level. Taarabt is pretty much the opposite, his attitude and fitness are in question, but he is certainly of good enough quality for the Premier League. The question is can Redknapp get the most out of him for his time remaining. It seems Redknapp is doing some work on this, while not jeopardizing the rest of the team as Warnock was accused of.

I think Tarrabt is not Redknapp's favourite player...
But if he was ready and fit to show what he could do, then obviously Redknapp is not stupid...
But really the next step is up to Taarabt. TO GET FIT and FORCE his way into the team with some stunning training and reserve performances - And not throw a tantrum if/when he makes it into the first team and Redknapp subs him

Reason being with only 3 recognised strikers Adel could well be our 4th frontman. 3 strikers are not enough, this has been highlighted on many other threads.

HaHaHa, I had no idea I would strike a cord with a forum full of QPR fanatics, as some of you guessed it, I am not a QPR fan, not even an English football fan, I find it very mechanical and lacks creativity. So in a nutshell I am a fan of the game I played since I could walk, and a fanatic, my Idol was and will always be Diego Maradona, so I like the creative players who stand out above the fray. I was fortunate to see up close some of the biggest stars of our time, from Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Henry,Seedorf, Pirlo, Toure, Roonie and on and on, these are special players. So yes, I liked what I saw in Taarabt, his skill set is unquestionable, but he is a fragile talent and takes a very special person to get the best out of him, I think Seedorf did well with him, he was all over the pitch, you can say whatever you want about his attitude, that's not hard to notice, although at Milan he looked pretty relaxed and attitude free, and all his teamates loved him. As for him being fat, look in the mirror, because you are, the kid is strong, and hard to stop when he's on the move. He was set on Milan, so he turn down Inter, Napoli, Juventus and other club not worth mentioning, so to say no body came for him is not true. Milan took everyone on loan this summer, why are they so broke is beyond me. So for the R's sake I hope he plays his best until the day he goes wherever and whenever, but if he is to remain he needs to give it his all, may be you'll win the league .

Dean - stop crying. Mark. I can see the tatoos, Sad really, and sorry I made you cry, I will call Arry to give you a hug.

I started by stating that Adel should jog on as been given loads of chances for two seasons and future isn't here. That isn't for me or others not wanting him to fulfil his obvious potential with us but that whatever it is, Adel is about Adel and never his fault ... So will never learn hence no offers. Don't know Mark but you show your immaturity and small minded'ness by commenting on tats but we here will discuss anyone's points of view in a mature way!

I'm not quite sure what your point is about Mark's tats, and what they have to do with your post on Taarabt. How old are you?
