Replace a 34 year old with a 34 year old and have him play beside a 35 year old and then wonder why we are slow to defend. let's be honest, Rio is looking like Park ver2 at this stage. I was against his signing but hey, I was kinda hoping he might bring something to the party and then rewarded us with some great marking against Hull.

The combo of Hill/Ferdinand or Dunne is a speed challenged defence & barton in holding mid role ... can't see us getting much joy out of games...

Not sure what to make of that line up?! Like it in some ways-looks ok on paper-as we often do but ironic that we go to 4 at the back and put a wing back at RB lose Simpson who fits four at the back, no place for Onouha where there would have been with 3 at the back! Worried with Hill at LB but preferred to Traore-who probably would have played if using wing backs!!? I presume that Hoilet and Phillips will often be going wide-which should suit each-so am happy with that. Looking for greater stability and more going forward too with this line up...hope it works!!

Jack-think that's a bit harsh on Rio re' his performance v Hull. Don't feel he's the weak-link, still don't understand the reluctance to consider Yun who IMO is still the best LB option we have! Is he injured or something or too young? Also don't understand why there's not a place for the Chief- who is is our strongest all round defender IMO !!

What's the full QPR line up? Twotter isn't allowed where I am.
What happened to Yun? I really don't know why Harry refuses to play him. He is our best option, better than the slow bus and better than Traore in this position. Makes no sense. He looke decent last season on the few rare occassions he was used. My late mother could turn and run faster than Dunne, Hill and or Ferdinand and she was 83.

What is up with yun is he injured, no Ned, what price Ned to go before window shuts, natural right back and a left back ignored to play Arrys favourites, I sometimes wonder about his decisions, also how strange now remy has gone we revert back to 4-3-3 ,

Isla and Caulker look good. Onouha should be ahead of Hill and Henry, Hoillet and Dunne? Oh dear. The rest look promising, especially if Fer and Mutch can work with barton. Please let those two take the free kicks and not Barton.

Thought we looked good. Loving Leroy Fer. What a cracking shot. Isla has made some solid runs down the right.

Worth the points from what I was reading on Sky, will get a better opinion when I watch the game later today.

A 1-0 win is just what we need to kick start our season. I thought we played quite well again as we did against Hull. Better without Dunne in the team now.

Worth the points from what I was reading on Sky, will get a better opinion when I watch the game later today. Definitely. We were the better team too. Played some lovely stuff too. Fer was sensational today. So pleased for Charlie too. That goal will give him no end of confidence. Hopefully he'll kick on now and fill the Remy void for us. Was a good finish too, right in the roof of the net. Mannone had no chance with that one.

Win important in helping to reassure possible acquisitions that we might be able to avoid a year long relegation battle.

1st win on the board in August, goes some way in alleviating ourselves of the ghost of 2012/13.

Harry took a gamble in bringing on Tarbs for defender with time running out. Maybe he will try to get in shape now.

Just watched the game a second time today, first time when I got home from work this am. We actually looked damn good. Midfield is sorted, need another striker and a cb. Fer and Mucth looked a lot better. But why oh why does Barton take all the free kicks? He seems to find the opposition more than out guys. But I will say he ran all day long and never gave up. A big improvement today.
