Arsenal have desperate need of a striker but have shown no interest in Remy. City don't need strikers and Liverpool pulled out of the deal to buy him.
Other than Newcastle I can't see any other club coming in for him now. Spurs already have Ā£25m striker on their bench and I suspect Pochetino will go for Jay Rodriguez in the January window so I can't see Remy going anywhere.
Unless a Champions league club abroad comes in at the last minute, but that's very unlikely too.

I would like to see him stay bonus offered or not . I think Arsenal might come in for him over the weekend . Would Newcastle pay 15 million and would Remy go back there after saying he will only join a top six club ?

A bit more than 50 hours to go, 95 in fact. Going to have to keep surreptitiously checking Twitter whilst at work on Monday.
TF said that he is "quietly confident" that Remy will stay and that he had done his "filming for FIFA 15" in a QPR kit, whatever that means.

This doesnt help us one bit ? QPR's Loic Remy should transfer to a club playing at the highest level says France boss Deschamp Aug 28, 2014 22:30 By John Cross Relegation battle is looming for striker who had been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal unless he gets a move before the summer window ends on Monday France's Deschamps wants to see Remy at a bigger club than QPR France coach Didier Deschamps has told Loic Remy to quit Queens Park Rangers for the sake of his international career. Deschamps admits he wants his players to be at "big European clubs" and urged Remy to think about his "career plan" before the transfer window shuts on Monday. Remy has an Ā£8.5million buy-out clause in his contract with the west London club, but a move to Liverpool fell through a month ago while Arsenal have not followed up on early interest. Deschamps said: "āWith regards to Remy, his situation isn't completely sorted out yet. The deadline for the transfer window is Monday at midnight. "It's down to the players to make their decision in terms of a career plan. But the more players I have at my disposal who are playing for big French clubs or European clubs the better, because they experience the reality of what the highest level is all about on a daily basis. "As a coach, it's important for me that my players experience that every day." Deschamps also took another swipe at Samir Nasri and suggested the Manchester City midfielder does not care enough about the shirt to make him think about asking the 27-year-old to reconsider his decision to quit international football. The former Chelsea midfielder, who may ask Franck Ribery to reconsider his international retirement after missing the World Cup through injury, added: "You have to take into account the players' experience and his personality, the character of the player. "What is essential for me, what has been for two years and what will remain so, is that I want players who want to come here and wear the France shirt. I don't want to force them, they should be attached to it." www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qprs-loic-remy-should-transfer-4125535#

Remy is key to survival for us. If he stays, he fires the goals that keep us up. If he goes I'm not sure Charlie will score enough on his own to keep us up. Vargas is unproven so can't rely on him, although I think he'll do well eventually, like Isla it will take him time to acclimatise to the Premier League, especially coming from the much slower Serie A.

If he is going, I hope he goes sooner rather than later. I fear him leaving us at a minute to midnight on the last day of the window when it is too late for us to get a replacement. Incidentally, I'm a little confused. Is Monday the last day or Sunday?

Incidentally, I'm a little confused. Is Monday the last day or Sunday? Yeah! That's the big problem. We could be right in it with a crocked Zamora and untried Charlie. Such uncertainty doesn't do us any good.

As posted on the general transfer thread, from metro.co.uk metro.co.uk/2014/08/29/qpr-offer-loic-remy-new-contract-to-fend-off-chelsea-interest-4850214/?QPR offer Loic Remy new contract to fend off Chelsea interest Metro Sport Reporter Friday 29 Aug 2014 1:06 pm Loic Remy has emerged as a Chelsea target (Picture: Reuters) QPR have moved to secure the future of Loic Remy by offering the striker a new contract at Loftus Road. Remy was on the brink of joining Liverpool earlier this summer but the move fell through after he failed his medical. However, it hasnāt stopped interest from other clubs, with Chelsea the latest to reportedly show a strong interest in the Frenchman just days away from the end of the transfer window. But Rangers have now moved to tie the 27-year-old down to a long-term contract, according to Goal.com. Remy has played in both of QPRās opening Premier League games this term, having spent last season on loan with Newcastle, where he scored 14 goals in 27 appearances for the Magpies. And now Chelsea are said to be interested in a late move for the striker, with Fernando Torres seemingly on the brink of a switch the AC Milan.

Di Marzio and others supposedly ITK saying Chelsea are now in discussions with QPR
We can blame Torres if he goes ?
In all honesty Harry did say the other day the basis of our new system was to aid Remy as he didnt like being a single striker . Probably go now .
So who will it be Crouch or Hooper With Charlie and Bobby . Are we classing Vargas as striker or winger ? Does that look good enough to get us to Jan ?

And going home in Chelsea, Torres party . Here's Loic Remy . All done between the parties, agreement between both clubs is between Chelsea and the player. Operation ended. The French had been very close to Liverpool , but now the call of Mourinho's Chelsea . That is realized for real : the London club should have paid the clause of 10 million euro . The former Newcastle dives into dream Blues, Stamford Bridge.
@dimarzio saying Remy and Chelsea agreed.

Aye.
Reliable sources saying he's good as gone.
At least only 3 days from the end of the window though, not the last day.
Vargas is a striker. My money would be on either Hooper or Sigthorsson in on Monday at 10:30pm.

Just glad he's too decent to leave at the last minute!
LoĆÆc RĆ©my ātoo decentā to leave QPR in late deal, says Harry Redknapp ā¢ QPR manager hopeful buyout clause will not be triggered ā¢ āI donāt think he would suddenly walk away the day beforeā Press Association theguardian.com, Thursday 14 August 2014 07.56 EDT Loic Remy LoĆÆc RĆ©my, left, played for France at the World Cup but shortly after a proposed Ā£8.5m move to Liverpool broke down. Photograph: Clive Rose/Getty Images LoĆÆc RĆ©my is ātoo decent a guyā to leave QPR in a move close to the transfer deadline, according to the manager Harry Redknapp, who remains confident of holding on to the France striker despite continued interest from rival Premier League clubs. The QPR manager admitted he fears a last-minute swoop from a Champions League club but hopes the 27-year-oldās future is resolved long before the 1 September transfer deadline. RĆ©my is back at QPR after a move to Liverpool broke down, with Redknapp confirming the former Marseille striker will be ready to face Hull in Saturdayās opener. āYou hope that doesnāt happen,ā said Redknapp of the chance a rival could poach his forward due to his Ā£8.5m buyout clause. āBut at the end of the day if heās got a buyout clause thereās very little you can do about it, I would imagine. That would be the worst scenario. āI donāt think he would want to do that either to us. Heās a good lad, heās got a good relationship with the chairman. With a week to go before the window closes we all need to know where weāre going. I donāt think he would suddenly walk away the day before. I think heās too decent a guy to do that.ā Redknapp believes RĆ©my would only leave QPR for Champions League football. āI sat down with him when he came back but I didnāt have to persuade him, we sat down and he just said: āLook, Iām back, I want to play, Iām here,ā ā said Redknapp. āSo unless something comes up Champions League or something massive for him, he would like to stay here and play. āAnd heās shown that attitude every day on the training ground. I couldnāt have asked for more from him. Heās been great, heās worked hard, heās done his running, heās got himself fit, heās a proper professional and thatās all you can ask. āThere have been several clubs that have rung up about him, in the Premier League, but I donāt think that they would be clubs that he would particularly want to leave QPR for. āWe hope LoĆÆc will stay, heās a fantastic player and his attitude since heās been back has just been absolutely first-class. āIām not trying to sell him because we donāt want to sell him. For me really, he should be a Ā£20m striker, in comparison to others that are getting sold for Ā£12m. To have lost him for the amount that we were going to, he would have been too cheap. āWhen I looked at what he was going to go for to Liverpool, it was a fantastic buy at that money. So their loss is our gain, I think.ā www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/14/loic-remy-qpr-harry-redknapp-transfer

Yes what a load of poppycock that was . TF said he believed he would stay too .
Made them both look a little silly . Now we have to rush for a replacement and rush for Simpson replacement . More new last minute players in, more gelling . Never seen so much gelling at a football club in my life .
Just give Harry a 4 year deal and be done with it and give Jamie a job on the coaching side .

I see your posts Harrr and Mac and yes what an ironic end to the transfer window this is turning out to be.
Remy leaving in the last couple of days despite TF and HR claiming he wouldn't do it to us and strong talk of Danny Simpson being transferred to a rival. Remy I can understand because footballers are, largely, a mercenary bunch and Remy has no strong ties or loyalties to us but Simpson I find strange. He was a key component of our promotion winning side, he always put in a shift and seemed to be a popular face in the dressing room? Surely we need a decent RB as we won't play wing backs in every game this season?
We have heard a lot about not repeating past mistakes and how great the team spirit is but suddenly we seem to have dismantled our side again and here we are with a little over two days from the window closing and we have a BIG striker problem AGAIN.

I guess Danny wanted to be a starter and hence why the move away . My guess is Leicester have said he will start and perhaps his nose has been put out of joint a little. I really liked Simpson, just a get on with type of guy and you knew what you would be getting most weeks . Pretty consistent. You cant blame him though . With Remy Steve , I think he has gone back on something he told TF or HR and now they have been made to look right mugs . He did ok for us in the time he was here scoring his 6 goals, wish him well, he got what he wanted a top 4 club . We would have been better letting him go to Newcastle , the most annoying thing about all this is we cant make any money on him either . That contract of his really killed us in both financial terms and making it easy to leave . What top 4 club wouldnt pay that money . If we can get a good Striker in, we still have a chance of staying up .
