I think it was 78/79, I would have been around 14 years old.
We'd recently moved house and I had to change school. I had been "introduced to a lad my age who lived in the same street and would be one of my class mates as his sister went to school with my sister. Anyway, he was a Spurs fan and my dad decided to take us both to Loftus Road for QPR v Spurs.
We were 2-1 up and it was deep into injury time (4 minutes?) when they got a penalty and equalised. My "mate" went loopy and I took a few slaps round the head and shoulders as a result. My did got the hump and started going on about the ref waiting for Spurs to score before blowing up!
And this folks, is why I really, really want us to beat Spurs on Sunday!
So, anyone else with memories of that game? I think we were in the South Africa Rd stand towards the end where they equalised.

It was 78-79. Peter Taylor scored from a pen after Glenn Roeder had Chris Jones over.
I'll dig out a report on the match.

Thanks for that, weren't match reports short in those days. Was a great game I remember but was gutted with the way it finished. Lost touch with said "mate" after we left school, wonder if he'll be there on Sunday.

Of course, it was boxing day. That makes sense then.
