I'd rather have Fitz hall back than Rio. Was responsible for a lot of screw ups in Uniteds defence this and last season.

Markqpr...
"You keep using that answer about worse owners whenever someone points out Fenandes et als' frailties. It lets you down."
Not sure that I "keep using that answer..." - but actually, it is a serious question.
If, as CPR says, TF is all "bullshiteeee, bollox, smoke and mirrors", then who would CPR like to see in his place - and what could a new owner do to improve things? As I said, a serious question.
To me, responsible ownership of a club isn't just about the money, it includes the less tangible (and less profitable) things, like respect for the club, its staff, its history, its fans and its community.
The point about mentioning the Venkys is the frankly disgusting way they have treated managers in the past, demanding to see them by frequently like naughty schoolboys calling them out to India for face-to-face meetings. It's publicly humiliating - what effect is that going to have on overall morale, the sheer amount of time taken out of the week and recovering from jet-lag... allegedly making phone calls to the manager to select players (a la Flav)... and they got the team to take part in that cringingly embarrassing TV ad about Venky's Chicken...
To me, TF is the right man at the right time, doing things in a way I'm personally very happy about.

Bullshitee, bollox, smoke and mirrors. It aint' even worth giving it that comment. I'm actually surprised he didn't throw t-shirts and other goodies out to the adoring crowd. But mind you I was hardly expecting actual factual answers instead of 'maybe's', 'looking into it' and blaming others like his PR men (outside of the club) taught him to do. Blimey, you're a difficult man to please... Thought TF answered questions openly and honestly, I was reassured that that he takes the club, its history, its fans and community seriously and that he is putting in place strategies that will see the club progress in the years to come. Just what did you want the man to say? Would rather the likes of The Venkys, the various crooks that broke Portsmouth, Peter Ridsdale, Ken Bates, Sam Hammam or Vincent Tan owned the club? You keep using that answer about worse owners whenever someone points out Fenandes et als' frailties. It lets you down. The obvious answer is of course not, but what is more telling is how you don't make a case for Fernandes in these situations, no pointing out his actual successes since he took over, just a warning that there is worse out there. If we don't go up in the play offs, how exactly are the Venkys' worse than Fernandes? They don't have a ridiculous debt and the current Blackburn squad isn't earning more than the current Champions League Finalists to begin with. Apart from the spin and bollocks what are the actual differences in terms of achievements and intentions in their respective ownerships? The same ridiculous debt that won't look quite so ridiculous when they write it all off? The only actual debt we have is the Barclays bank loan. And maybe you can't compare to Venky's but just look at Birmingham who are still paying obscene wages, like Zigic who is on 75k a week.....

Personally I feel the forum was very good and useful, he spoke as openly as possible on all subjects raised apart from player contracts which is very understandable. I know all of his biggest skeptics on Twitter were very impressed with the answers given by both Beard and Tony.
