Harry Redknapp reveals he’s been inundated with offers of players for next season - but the QPR boss has told agents nothing doing until he knows what division the club is in. After winning a place in the Championship play-offs on Monday, Rangers hope it all ends in Wembley joy at the end of May. However, new faces in a squad returning to the elite is not the same as one facing a second season a division down, reckons Harry. The situation is slightly complicated by the manager’s expected knee operation demanding business gets done on the end of a phone while he convalesces at his Sanbanks home. He said: “People are ringing me up saying what are you looking for next season? I haven’t a clue because I don’t know what league we’ll be in. “If you get promoted you’re looking at players who will keep you in the Premier League, it’s a different scene. “As for my op, It’s only a phone call that’s needed most of the time, and not as if you’re running round the country chasing people.” Defender Richard Dunne has already won a year’s extension. Rob Green and Clint Hill are expected in talks soon for new deals, but Stephane Mbia and Loic Remy are almost certain to be sold, and the fate of 15 more, out of contract, hangs in the balance. www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-boss-offered-players-next-7024045#.U1fTs0QmKdM.twitter

Looks like 'Arry is planning to stay whether or not we are in the Prem next year!

Before we sign any of "Harry's older folke" please QPR decide if you want Redknapp to remain - WHY? - but if you do, let him go ahead... And if you don't plan on him staying, then don't let him sign these players.

Agreed...I'm not his biggest fan I must admit, he doesn't seem to know what he's doing half the time, but at the end of the day if (IF!) we do go up, I suppose he deserves a crack at the whip again, assuming he WANTS to and has the fire/desire and doesn't just sign another load of 'arrys old boys! Can see the likes of crouch being mentioned again!!

I actually don't think we should make our decision because "he deserves a crack at the whip"
We have to be more professional than that.
If we go up (or if we don't) obviously have to thank Redknapp etc
Briatore - I despise - and in some ways he was cold-blooded. But if you recall, when he appointed Dowie, the stories were he did so and then after promotion, was understood he'd be axed. (Just happened a little sooner.) Ditto re Warnock before Briatore moved on.
Something to be said for making decision for what you think is best interest of club - while doing it of course, a lot nicer

If we take Tonys word, we dont need to go up and they are here to stay etc. Surely we should be looking for a hungry young manager with potential, that would show real vision. They should be given a 5 year contract and make sure they are allowed to complete this. Whether we are in the prem or not. Maybe even work with Harry for a year?. Trouble is I dont think this ties in with our profile at moment as a few posters have previously mentioned.

If we were lucky enough to find ourselves promoted it would be typical QPR to then sack Redknapp and perpetuate the circus that has surrounded our club in recent years.

It's depressing that we have such a reputation (deserved) that so many agents see shifting a player to QPR as a meal ticket
Personally I would think twice before taking any player introduced by an agent and after thinking twice tell them to bugger off
We should have our own lists of targets and they will hopefully include players not being hawked around none soft touches by their agents

Who's he been offered ? Rio Ferdinand , Joe Cole , Frank Lampard ? Plus a host of other mid 30 yr old players no doubt , 60 / 70 k a week no problem you don't even have to play just ask SWP , Andy Johnson and co . Please Harry just jack it in at the end of the season whatever happens .

I've got a feeling he won't our manager next season, whatever division we're in. Just a hunch.

If R's don't get promoted Harry wont be with us next season anyway. I reckon he will be gone within days of failure to reach the premiership.
That's the way I see it. Time will tell.

Regardless of what division we are going to be playing in, the club needs to draw a line in the sand. Anyone over 32 - Goneski, anyone going to be signed should have a maximum age of 28 and only be on a 2 or 3 year contract. Only then will we sort out the freeloaders from guys prepared to put in a shift and actually have the legs to do it. I dont want Ferdinand, I dont want Lampard, I dont want Joe Cole, and I dont want most of those here already that are over 30. It's not a friggen retirement home and I am sick of the high wages we are gifting them.

People on here seriously turning down a player like Lampard for a club like QPR, even at his age?
Laughable yet sad at the same time.

I don't know about lampard but the point you might be missing is people are worried about the monster wages someone like him would be getting paid for a final pay day for player who probably won't give a hoot about our club...we've been there and done that more than enough last time in the prem. I'm sure he has still got something left in him but can we risk it? I mean jeez I thought bosingwa was a good signing at the time!!

Except our old crocks are either not up to speed or yet again injured. Austin might save the blushes yet by getting us where Johnson and Zamora haven't. .

Just most the ones we seem to sign
