49 Years ago today Remember it well It was Yom Kippur...So I was fasting - and doing the no-no: Attending a Football Match... QPR Did well - Got a point against a declining Chelsea (And then in the FA Cup later in the season, a draw and then a win during the "Three Day Week" era! And came out of the ground and the Headlines "It's War" - and the 1973/October War had just broken out/being reported on Attendance 18,297 (at a time when Ground capacity was 35,000 QPR Team: Parkes Clement Mancini McClintock Hazell Venables Leach Francis Thomas Bowles Givens (Bowles) Don't have the Chelsea team offhand. This was our first draw in the league against Chelsea - I am sure there would have been more than 18,000 there - it was after all a London derby
