XTRA TIME WINNER STUNS R'S
RANGERS under-19's lost the F.A. Premier Academy League play-off final to a goal just a minute from the end of extra time.
It was a valiant display by the young R's as they looked to protect a 1-0 lead from the first leg at Loftus Road, eventually losing 4-3 on aggregate.
Rangers: Bull, Nugent, Murphy, Burgess, Duncan, Dick, Cochrane, Bean, Pacquette, Brady, Walsh. Subs: Gradley, Robertson, Wattley, Patrick-Heselton, Brayley.

From that team I was sure that Bull, Burgess, Cochrane, Bean, Pacquette and Walshe would go on to have good professional careers. Turns out only Bull and Bean did anything at all, and even then only at lower league level. Shows how good a job Warren Neil and Gary Waddock did with those lads to get them that far.
Interesting to look back on.

Not really fair - Ollie Burgess looked a very good prospect when played in our first team and suffered a horror injury. Pacquette played a fair few first team games for us, scoring a few goals and made a decent living as a professional in the Conference and Conference South - in latter years teaming that up with work as a lecturer. Brayley the same - decent non league career at the top level there. Cochrane did ok - now works for Spurs as a full time Academy coach.

Always thought it strange (including at the time) that Pacquette started and Thompson was on the bench for the Millenium Final. Thought the opposite was more logical with Pacqutte as "Impact" sub
