Great for our preparations Ian Taylor @ijtaylor81 Mark Hughes will be without Traore and Taarabt for the majority of next week. Both called up for international friendlies. #QPR UPDATE QPR Official Site - Traore and Taarabt selectedR'S DUO Armand Traore and Adel Taarabt have been called up to represent their respective countries next week. Traore will link up with his Senegal team-mates on Monday ahead of their friendly against Burkina Faso on Wednesday. Taarabt, meanwhile, has been selected for Morocco’s friendly match against Guinea in Rabat. Both players will return to QPR ahead of the R’s season opener against Swansea City next weekend. www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/090812-internationals-301086.aspx

I'm sure other teams will be in the same situation but perhaps not Swansea!

Surly the club can refuse, only friendlies and right in the middle of the most intense pre season training......farking joke.

Traore barely ever starts for Senegal and we all know the problems Taarabt has with the Moroccan coach, making this very pointless.
Next week is so important training wise, they will be working on team shape and tactics for the Swansea game and both will miss all that. Plus both will be jet lagged from the flights.

Who the F*** at Fifa, decided on an international window the week before a season starts? The players AND the club should refuse to attend them.

You'd of thought as this year the African Cup of Nations is being played again as to not coincide with The Euros and the World Cup years as before, so we'll lose them for 3 years in a row at a very important part of the season that the African nations might of thought not to make them travel so much and let them settle into their seasons at their respective clubs and therefore not disrupt their season preparations, but that doesn't earn them money from friendlies I guess. Anyone know what Jack Walker is doing these days? He's not an adviser to the African Football Union is he?

Always a prob when we have African origin players. We are going to be up the creek again, I guess, when the ACN starts up.

Don't send them, don't have to, only a friendly, create a niggle.

So that basically means both are unavailable for Swansea(?) (jetlag, etc)
No spot for Taarabt in my FF squad then.

I very much doubt there will be any problems with jet lag, as they are both flying to countries in the same timezone as the UK.
The offy says that they will both be back in plenty of time for Swansea.
More worried about a knock than anything else....

Mackie will be away from us as well.
I assume that Wales are playing so that would leave them disrupted too, as will most of the Premier clubs.
This is why the match on saturday is so important for Hughes to decide on his side for Swansea.

Sorry Africa for thinking it was just you, I should have realised only FIFA would organise friendlies at such a stupid time.

If it's good enough for John Terry (Spit) to sit the England game out, it's good enough for our two to sit their respective one's out too. Play safe!!
