Prey tell me, Ryan Giggs missed? No, Daniel Sturridge, and Ki scored the winner. Hence QPR-Chelsea 1-0 (if we get Ki of course).

What a brilliant night....full of drama....Ennis, & Rutherford great role models but Farah for me showed why this is a great country....despite the Daily Mail, 80,000 people cheered on a somalian kid who'd become a Hounslow kid as a GB hero. London is a blessed place.

Yes, this Russian guy about 91kgs, goes out, no mucking around and lifts a new world record 231kgs within seconds. It really has been quite absorbing - considering I don't like the olympics as such. I think they need to go back to the basics and dump a shite load of current sports and forget the golf & 7's rugby at the next ones. Makes a joke of the whole thing.
For example, here's the list of sports at these Olympics and I've written "Dump" by the ones IMHO that should not be there.........
Sports The 2012 Summer Olympic programme features 26 sports and a total of 39 disciplines: Aquatics Diving (8) Swimming (34) Synchronized swimming (2) Dump Water polo (2) Dump Archery (4) Athletics (47) Badminton (5) Dump Basketball (2) Dump Boxing (13) Canoeing Dump Sprint (12) Dump Slalom (4) Dump Cycling BMX (2) Definately Dump Mountain biking (2) Definately Dump Road (4) Track (10) Equestrian Dressage (2) Eventing (2) Jumping (2) Fencing (10) Field hockey (2) Dump Football (2) Dump Gymnastics Artistic (14) Rhythmic (2) Dump if that's the one with the ball and ribbon crap Trampoline (2) Handball (2) Definately Dump Judo (14) Modern pentathlon (2) Rowing (14) Sailing (10) Dump - watching paint dry Shooting (15) Dump Table tennis (4) Dump Taekwondo (8) Dump Tennis (5) Definately Dump Triathlon (2) Volleyball Volleyball (2) Beach volleyball (2) Definately Dump Weightlifting (15) Wrestling Freestyle (11) Greco-Roman (7)
Just my opinion, not necessarily correct but imagine how much money would be saved from all the junket trips etc and facilities.
Mind you, I think they should be returned to Greece and played there every four years. Probably help out the Greek economy as the facilities already exist.

Don't agree about all the sports, would have switched some of them. But I do agree they should be held in Greece every 4 years, but with financial help from the other countries. It is a greek thing after all.

London is a blessed place. What a night to have been there Eusebio! I doubt if British Athletics will ever come close to three golds in a session ever again. I wasn't interested in going to any of the olympics but to my suprise I have enjoyed watching them. I have even come to appreciate the skill, strength & agility of gymnasts, which is something I could never envisage!

What a night to be a Brit. What a shame we dont have a football team worthy of the rest of the team GB. We`ve got athletes, cyclists, sailors at their peak, performing out of their skins with real pride and we have our jaded footballers, which are quite frankly an embarrassment. 2016 - drop football, it`s a joke.

SHould have let Beckham take the penalty!!! (Should have included Beckham in the squad) Don't be silly, it was the prfessional approach from Stuart "we're here to win it" Pearce. That professional approach meant taking three overage players without any tournament experience whatsoever. That professional approach meant almost splitting the team into two entities. That professional approach meant most of the United Kingdom really didn't give a shyte about them. Stuart Pearce is an idiot who should not have anything to do with the development of football at any age in England. Good to see some of the players attended the opening ceremony though. I think it was the young English ones. What a waste of a massive opportunity.
