Always had it in my head that was the perfect hat trick but it wasn't.
Against and excellent keeper as well. ;D

Shows how your mind plays tricks on you.
I was there and would have staked my life on that being the perfect hat-trick.
Left foot, right foot and a header but I am wrong.
Still a marvellous display by gods finest.

Always had it in my head that was the perfect hat trick but it wasn't. Against and excellent keeper as well. ;D That's a bit spooky CPR, my thoughts exactly. Mike Kelly always seemed a little overawed playing for us but once he went off to Birmingham he really came good.

Mike Kelly always seemed a little overawed playing for us but once he went off to Birmingham he really came good. He was ok. But when you think we signed Phil Parkes for 15,000 and then turned round and sold Mike Kelly to Birmingham for slightly more... Kelly good. Parkes brilliant. (And I'd say from day #1 - and I was there for his debut when we lost at home to Leicester (ohh:That's one game that was after 1969 - ), a young Parkes was better than an experienced Kelly

No doubt in my mind he was better than Kelly. When you think we got him for 15k and Rodney for the same amount, it beggars belief. Trying to compile a list of best buys. Stan and Dave Thomas immediately spring to mind but there are many.
