I don't write it, I just cut and paste it QPR to Make Ambitious Move for Liverpool Striker Andy Carroll by Stuart Robinson August 13th, 2012 Comments0 Loftus Road look to bring in yet another high-profile addition as the West London side plots advance for Anfield forward. QPR are reportedly readying an ambitious move to capture Liverpool forward Andy Carroll. The Loftus Road side have made a number of high-profile signings this summer and the club’s co-owner is ready to finance a significant bid for the England international. Brendan Rodgers has seemingly made it clear that the former Newcastle United man is not part of his first team plans after Liverpool accepted an earlier offer from West Ham for the powerful forward but the new Anfield boss has told the 23 year old that if he puts in improved performances then he could yet convince the former Swansea City boss’s to change his position. However perhaps Carroll would prefer to push for first team football elsewhere, especially given his ambitions to cement a regular spot in Roy Hodgson’s England plans. QPR are ready to offer a similar deal to that made by West Ham, with an initial fee being paid to seal a season long deal with the option to have first refusal on the permanent signing of the Gateshead born forward if Liverpool choose to offload the £35m man. Mark Hughes has been backed by QPR’s owners with funds to improve a squad that came very close to relegation last term. The former Man City boss has signed Robert Green, Andy Johnson, Ryan Nelsen on free transfers as well as landing Junior Hoilett and Park-Ji Sung from Blackburn Rovers & Man United respectively. Though Carroll is said to be interested in joining a side who can offer him European football he may feel that the ambition shown by the West London club is worthy of committing to a season long loan deal to. Rodgers is said to be looking to procure further attacking options having already signed Italian Fabio Borini and Carroll may well prefer to leave for pastures new on a loan deal over spending a season warming the Liverpool bench. www.caughtoffside.com/2012/08/13/qpr-to-make-ambitious-move-for-liverpool-striker-andy-carroll/

QPR set to make audacious bid for Ronaldo and Messi
Queens Park Rangers are set to bid $200m for the two starlets. Whilst letting go superstar DJ Campbell to help replace Lionel Messi at Barcelona. They will also sell Barton to Madrid for Ronaldo as the club will need a replacement midfield. There have also been recent rumours of QPR giving Man City a player exchange deal of Vincent Kompany for Clint Hill. This could be a severe loss for QPR as they are losing 3 top class players and gaining "dead-wood"

Joey's a great lad, but I'm not signing him... Holloway rules out move for Barton By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER PUBLISHED: 18:35, 13 August 2012 | UPDATED: 18:35, 13 August 2012 Comments (3) Share Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has ruled out signing Joey Barton. The QPR midfielder will begin a 12-match ban this weekend following his sending off and subsequent actions on the final day of last season against Manchester City. A summer stint training with npower Football League newcomers Fleetwood finished at the weekend after QPR rejected the idea of Barton spending time on loan in League Two. New club: Barton has been training with Fleetwood Town That prompted a number of national newspapers to link Barton with a switch to last season's beaten Championship play-off finalists, but Holloway insists such talk is wide of the mark. 'I haven't got a clue where the Joey Barton rumours came from,' he told the Blackpool Gazette. 'I can't sign someone who I couldn't pick for 12 matches. 'If you look at the central midfield players I have, that's not the area I need players. I need strikers. Joey's a great lad but I don't know where that talk came from.' Play me or sell me: Defoe dreads another "heartbreaking" year as a sub Sunderland, Reading and Queens Park Rangers have all been linked with the England striker as Spurs chase Damiao and Adebayor Sub standard: Defoe hates being on the bench at Tottenham Pete Norton Jermain Defoe fears he could be forced to quit Tottenham if he is facing another season on the bench. Spurs remain keen on Internacional marksman Leandro Damiao, whose six goals in just four starts helped Brazil to a silver medal in the Olympics. They are also still trying to strike a permanent deal for Manchester City frontman Emmanuel Adebayor. Defoe, coveted by Sunderland, Reading and QPR, told the Mirror: “Everyone knows how much I love Tottenham. Everybody knows that they are the club I want to play for.“But last season was heartbreaking for me in terms of putting my body on the line, being prepared to give everything for the club and not getting a game.” Last summer, while other players were on holiday, Defoe put himself through a gruelling training camp in France to be in top shape in European Championship year - only to see himself sidelined under Harry Redknapp. He still went on to end the campaign with 17 goals. Tottenham have also yet to approach Defoe about a new deal with just two years left on his current contract. Defoe added: “Obviously I have to think seriously about my future. I will talk to the club and see what happens but right now all I want to do is what is best for Tottenham.” Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill is a huge fan of the striker and has been tracking his situation all summer. Exchange & Mart? Sunderland boss O'Neill has got his eye on Defoe Matthew Lewis Defoe showed his total focus with the winning goal in Spurs' friendly at Watford two weeks ago, despite a summer of personal tragedy that has seen him lose his father and a cousin. Spurs are unlikely to do any business with any club over Defoe until they have drafted in reinforcements up front. But Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has warned Damiao will not go cheap as he is just 23 and has four years left on his current deal. Spurs are convinced the in-form hitman will go for far less although Luigi said: “I think it’s very hard for the transfer to happen unless Tottenham pay the 60million euros (£47m) buyout fee that is included in his contract. Golden boy: Internacional claim Brazil star Damiao would cost Spurs £47m Julian Finney “Leandro Damiao has four more years on his contract. He is a very well paid player and has nothing to complain about. “And we don’t need to sell. We are a rich club with an enviable structure." www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfer-news-jermain-defoe-1259635

DAILY MAIL Bad boy QPR midfielder Barton cannot go out on loan, insist Football League By Neil Ashton Joey Barton remains in limbo after the Football League said they would not register him on loan at another club. QPR have attempted to get round Barton’s 12-game ban by loaning him to a team outside the Barclays Premier League. His 12-game ban would then be served quicker because of the volume of matches played by Football League teams. No loan move: Joey Barton won't be able to go on loan to the Football League No loan move: Joey Barton won't be able to go on loan to the Football League But the Football League said a move to a club outside the top flight would not be in the spirit of the game and would bring it into disrepute. Barton was found guilty by the FA of two counts of violent conduct after being sent off against former club Manchester City for an off-the-ball incident involving Carlos Tevez in the final game of the season. He was then involved in a confrontation with Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany. Ban: Barton is suspended for the first 12 games of the season Ban: Barton is suspended for the first 12 games of the season Barton was training with Fleetwood but that arrangement has come to an end and QPR are looking at alternative solutions. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2187943/Football-League-block-Joey-Barton-loan-move.html#ixzz23V5QwkEL

"But the Football League said a move to a club outside the top flight would not be in the spirit of the game and would bring it into disrepute." Not being in the spirit of the game is not outside of the rules, they are implying a rule break using the disrepute threat but again there is nothing in the rules to forbid this. Even if I do agree with them they are in no position to attempt to claim the moral high ground. Sending any player on loan is not in the spirit of the game is it really? The football league rules being at odds with premier league rules was a major contributory fact in the Faurlin "saga". Can anyone recall anything happening "in the spirit of the game" in modern day money swilling, financially hemorrhaging professional football? Not singing the anthem of the team you represent because it's not your team is not "in the spirit of the game" either!!!!

Danny Shittu... www.newsatden.co.uk/5248-shittu-vows-to-repay-faith-shown-in-him-by-millwall-boss.htmlShittu thanks Millwall boss for giving him a second chance August 14, 2012 By Staff Leave a Comment © Alan Weir DANNY Shittu has vowed to repay the faith shown in him by Kenny Jackett after signing a one-year contract with Millwall on Monday. The defender is set to make his second Lions debut in the League Cup clash against Crawley Town at The Den tonight, having spent a previous spell at the club during the 2010-11 season. And Shittu is looking forward to playing regular football again after a frustrating spell at QPR. "I am delighted to have signed for Millwall yesterday," Shittu tweeted. "I would like to thank Kenny Jackett and Andy Ambler. "I would also like to thank all the fans who have supported me throughout my times. It has been a challenging few seasons for me being at clubs where I was not given a chance by the respective managers."But I'm now looking forward to the upcoming season with Millwall, to working hard and being part of a team which can achieve things."

I assume that it will all depend on what type of loan deal QPR are trying to send him out on. If it were a season long deal then it would mean we aren't trying to run his ban down so they would have to sanction this deal. If however we are trying to get him to sign on a three month deal then I think the FA have every right to block the deal. The deal would have nothing to do with fitness or finding form and everything to do with exploiting the ban. I totally agree about the spirit of the game nonsense and it's not as if the FA are whiter than white or have moral highground but it would be obviously to the footballing world as to why QPR would be doing the deal and it would cause backlash especially if Barton were to return and play in a game he should have been banned from and his presence influences the result (i.e. he scores). I say either loan him out for the season or just try and sell him.

Compare his ability, attitude and what he brings to the club with Faurlin and most will see it really isn't worth the hassle. Faurlin along with Mackie and now Park are great role models for the club. Hardworking, team players and decent individuals who rarely find themselves in the referees book or in the tabloids for misdemeanours.

I rekon the club would be more than willing to pay Joey's wages if he were allowed to go on loan. He's hard work when things are going right let alone when these things happen i guess getting him out and away from the 1st feam makes real sense. At first i thought the Fleetwood thing was strange but Hughes must have just thought keeping him away from the first team sqaud would only be a positive. Now i just can't see how he could ever be intergrated back into the squad or even trusted by the club. Whatever way you look at it if we sign Ki or even Hargreaves Joey would seem to have no place or future at the club

QPR chairman plays down Celtic star link Ian Cooper Tuesday, August 14, 2012 11:55 AM Rangers will not sign players for commercial reasons, insists Fernandes QPR chairman Tony Fernandes insists that the club’s commercial interests in Asia will have no bearing on any further signings this summer. A hugely successful pre-season tour of the Far East, coupled with the signing of Ji-Sung Park from Manchester United, has allowed Fernandes to successfully establish the QPR brand in Asia. The Rs have also shown interest in Celtic’s South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung, and face competition from Arsenal to secure the 23-year-old’s services. However, the chairman insists that manager Mark Hughes will have the final say on any more new arrivals. “We’re not going to sign a player if it doesn’t make sense to the manager,” Fernandes said. “I own an airline which flies to Korea and is having huge growth in Korea, but that’s a bonus – a fantastic icing on the cake. “Let me make it clear that we’re not going to sign a player just because it’s good for AirAsia or our sponsors.” www.london24.com/sport/qpr/qpr_chairman_plays_down_celtic_star_link_1_1480950?

We currently have 29 squads players (not including Hargreaves) over the age of 21 including Young, Smith, Campbell and Hulse so if we don't sign anymore players it is possible Barton could be given a squad place ahead of the four mentioned. However, most would assume that we will make at least another signing if not two and Hargreaves could still get a contract (who knows) so unless we sign Zouma any other new signings are likely to be over 21 and therefore will require a squad place. If a new signing does come in for Barton to be included the likes of Dyer, Derry, Ephraim and Bothroyd's place in the squad will be then be at risk.
Hughes doesn't have to name his 25 until after the transfer window closes. If he makes no more signings and decides Hargreaves isn't worth the risk I expect Barton to be named. But if Ki or any other central midfielder joins then it wouldn't make sense to pick Barton ahead of say Bothroyd when we don't have a great depth in strikers.

If only he would modify his behaviour. He has some talent yet wastes it. Grrrrrr A very frustrating player. While on the subject, I watched a programme on telly the other night which showed highlights from his City and Newcaste days. Have to say; What a player he was at those clubs. But to me It seemed like he played in a more free role which enabled him to go forward more often. Could it be that his position at QPR does not really suit him? I did also notice that his passing was way much better. His speed did also seem to be so much "better" Just my take at it ,though. Again; Not so sure he suits this kind of holding midfielder role he helds at our club when picked. PS. I know that what I saw was only highligts from his games.
