Toure might be worth a shot but at £5mill and £90k a week i rekon the money would be better spent elsewhere if the numbers are right . It does seem we are looking at a lot of over 30's but i guess to replace as many players as we need to with younger guys would be very costly. Think we are better getting in the likes of johnson green and nelsen as they add to the quality of the squad and give you time to find replacements over a period of a few years. Adding 2 or 3 quality younger players each season and snapping up the best free agent avaliable will allow our continued growth without pushing the finances as much. Its actualy quite similar to the way foolham went about establishing themselves in the premier league wich most of us would find it hard to admit we were impressed with.

OK so goal.com is not that reliable but I'd take RSC & definitely Kolo Toure....the WB rumour keeps recurring even pre-Hughes so...how did he play at Sunderland? I could definitely see Citeh looking to shift all of those players even if they have got more money than sense.

Bridge as been crap for about 4 seasons and RSC would be better off staying at Betis.

We can get a few old players like Johnson and Nelson. Then buy some younger ones with it like Moses, Tremoulinas, Diakite and a Striker. Samba is middle aged which would work as well

I think I mentioned Stephen Ireland back in January as someone we should look at, would not surprise me in the slightest if we signed him. Very good player and has gone slightly off track since Hughes was sacked at City. Can't say I've seen anything linking us to Ireland and his contract is up in 2014...even if he fell out with previous management I suspect Lambert will want to run the rule over him and as if by magic QPR look to snap up Stephen Ireland Jun 17 2012 By Dean Jones STEPHEN IRELAND could become the first ASTON VILLA player out of the door this summer as QPR look to snap him up. Get a Free Trial with Netflix the Movie streaming service Ireland is keen to get away from Villa Park and new boss Paul Lambert is happy for him to leave. Midfielder Ireland, 25, arrived in the Midlands as part of a deal that took James Milner to Manchester City, but he has never settled and his former manager Mark Hughes is keen to snap him up. Hughes worked with Ireland at Manchester City - and later the player did criticise Sparky for playing him out of position. But the Rangers boss believes he got the best out of him and is willing to push for him to move to Loftus Road. People Sport understands Villa would be willing to let the Irishman, who is one of Villa's top earners, leave for as little as £3million. www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2012/06/17/qpr-look-to-snap-up-stephen-ireland-102039-23897259/

Ireland criticized Hughes for playing him out of position. Hughes says he got the best out of Ireland. Doesn't look like Ireland is going to want to come and be played put of position again.

Ireland lost form as soon as Hughes was sacked at Man City. Don't think Ireland would complain about positions if he could get back to his old form.

Dave McIntyre/West London Sport QPR man to make decision on future Clint Hill will make a decision on his future this week. The 33-year-old defender, whose QPR contract expires this summer, has been offered a new deal at Loftus Road but may not be a first-team regular next season. He must therefore decide whether to stay put and snub interest from a number of Championship clubs, including Leeds. Hill, who played under Leeds boss Neil Warnock at both QPR and Crystal Palace, has indicated that he is likely to sign the contract offered to him. But Akos Buzsaky’s future at the club is in serious doubt. He too has been made an offer, but hoped for better terms and has been considering his options www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-man-to-make5-decision-on61-future/

Hill was shunted out to Forest so clearly wasn't intended to be a regular last season. He'd be a fool not to sign a contract as long as he is happy at the club of course.

I think Nelson is an ok signing. He brings experience but realistically he won't play much. He's a good honest pro though and will be a good influence to have around the club. We should have a look at Younis Kaboul, spurs are getting that new lad from Ajax and he is still only 25-26. Wouldn't break the bank either. I would also like us to go for Matt Jarvis or Jermaine Penant, a proper winger that would be a realistic target for us.

When Players are OFFICIALLY Confirmed, I think they merit their own thread (See below). Apart from then, let's keep this thread going. 95% of the names obviously are not going to end up at QPR
