Idiot! Daily Star DANNY MURPHY TO SNUB QPR FOR NEW FULHAM DEAL ABOVE: Danny Murphy is set to sign a new deal at Fulham “ It is all about playing regularly and playing well, even if it is in the Championship ” David Stockdale 6th June 2012 By Mike McGrath DANNY MURPHY is set to sign a new deal at Fulham. The 35-year-old was on the Premier League’s ‘free transfer’ list last week, but sources at the club insist a new contract is close to agreement. Murphy made 48 appearances last season and boss Martin Jol has been considering having the midfielder on his back room staff. He was positive about an extension at the end of the season, despite interest from QPR. Jol preferred Murphy to Dickson Etuhu and Steve Sidwell last season and the veteran formed a partnership with Moussa Dembele. Meanwhile, keeper David Stockdale reckons returning to Fulham mid-season from his loan at Ipswich cost him a place at Euro 2012 with England. “It is all about playing regularly and playing well, even if it is in the Championship,” he said. “Rob Green at West Ham proved that.” www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/255209/Danny-Murphy-to-snub-QPR-for-new-Fulham-deal/

£10m for Tremoulinas??? If Taiwo was going to cost £3.5m then Tremoulinas is worth about £5m.

Don't understand why we'd send Taiwo back? Thought he did a good joib and was getting better each game. Don't know anything about Tremoulinas but at £10m he needs to be at least twice as good as Taiwo.

Tremoulinas is very good. Better than Taiwo to attack on the wing, but quite equal to Taiwo for the defensive job. And less powerful. He was tracked by Bayern last year. And he's still young! But I'm not sure he's worth 10m. Maybe 6mios.

Yeah 10 Million seems way to much for us to spend on one defender ?

But I'm not sure he's worth 10m. Maybe 6mios. Hmm. So this guy is as good as Taiwo in defence, but less powerful and better going forward (he must be good as Taye managed 3 assists and a goal in only 13 starts). Taye had a poor start, but so did Samba and we are all calling him the best signing we will have made in 15 years. The only reason I can see for not going to Taiwo would be a possible visa problem, or if he has been offered a much better deal somewhere else. Perhaps we are all reading a lot into the fact that this guy was supposedly followed by BM for a while, if he was that good I would have thought he would be heading for Germany now. £10 million for him or £3.5 for Taiwo. I know who I would be doing my utmost to sign. Taiwo and Traore on the left would to me be massive....

According to a QPR 'ITK' Twitter account (100% accuracy so far) we didn't actually have a buy option for Taiwo but he is still an option for Hughes.

I can well believe that as it wasn't noted at the time of his signing (unlike with Diakite). He grew into the role after a slow start, knows the club and the other players and if we have any sense he should be our first option.

Well it's always hard to compare two players that don't play in the same league, and I don't remember exactly how Taiwo performed at Marseille, but Trémoulinas is definitely more an attacking full-back than Taiwo. As I already said, he's more a Leighton Baines or Kyle Walker kind of fullback than a rock like Taiwo. He could be very useful. He's way easier on the ball than Taiwo actually is. On his defensive duties, I thought it was his weak point, but it seems like he's made a lot of progress in that area. And he is quite short. I'd be delighted if we signed him, but as I said we have to pay him the right price.

Giroud turned down Arsenal, didn't he? And Montpelier are in the Champions League next season, so why would he leave them now?
Silly season talk, methinks.
Re Taiwo, I think he wants to go to Benfica. They in the Champions League too? Either way, if he doesn't want to stay there ain't much we can do about it so we have to look elsewhere.
I'm sure Hughes has several options at CB that he's looking at.

It won't happen. He's too good for us and not just.
I follow the french Ligue Un, and I can tell you he's out of our reach. If he signs for someone, it'll be a very very good club. Otherwise he'll stay at Montpellier.

Hi fellow Rangers!
I just talked with a guy from Bordeaux. He's one of the greatest fans of Djibril Cissé and said to be close of a few players, including players from Girondins de Bordeaux and Djibil Cissé, who he follows since his days at Marseille.
He says he's quite ITK. I take everything he says very carefully, but here's what he told me:
- First, he says that Benoit Trémoulinas is of course aware of QPR's interest in him. According to him, Trémoulinas would relish joining us. He thinks it's a perfect challenge for him, to settle in the Prem with a club going forward like us. He also said to me that Bordeaux would probably allow him to leave for around 6millions. He also told me that QPR's scouts went to watch Bordeaux this season, reportedly to watch both Trémoulinas and Michael Cianni, a talented centre-back.
- Then, we talked about Djibril Cissé, which he knows personally. He had a chat with him recently, and he told me that Cissé really likes QPR and that he wanted to have a tattoo of our badge this summer, to remember his stay. What he told me about Cissé, is that he planned to stay this year at QPR, but that he had the project to end his career with Auxerre, if they go back up in Ligue 1, because he was a youngster there, and that he feels he owes them to go back there.
I trust him on the news about Cissé, because he told me he can surely contact him easily to have an interview for my Website, QPR-FRANCE, he really knows him personally, and has two blogs about him. But on the other hand, I don't know what his information about Bordeaux worths.

Strong centre-back. Tall, quite effective. He was wonderful under Laurent Blanc, but then his form dropped and he had a difficult time in the close season last year. But he's a very good player. He said he didn't know how interested we were in Ciani, but says we are "likely" to sign Trémoulinas.
At first, I thought this guy was claiming himself ITK, but was bluffing, but he told me he'd do this interview with Cissé, which makes me thinks he really knows him, otherwise he wouldn't have proposed to do it. I know him for sometime, but I never knew he was that close from Djibril Cissé.
He also told me that Giroud and Cisse laughed about the idea of Giroud joining us, but that it seemed really unlikely. He said he can have information about what's going on at Montpellier, Bordeaux and with Djibil Cisse of course. I will keep updating if he gives me more informations.

I could conceive of us (just/maybe) signing ONE 15 Million Pound player...(Plus 2 or 3 others for another 10-15 million pounds). Obviously we may not. But at least conceivable. Just not a whole slew of 15, 20, 25, 40 million pound players!
I just hope we buy the best goalie out there. (Not sure which one that is)

MAIL Hughes prepared to write Giroud cheque! QPR in ambitious bid for Arsenal target By Sami Mokbel PUBLISHED: 17:04 EST, 6 June 2012 | UPDATED: 17:04 EST, 6 June 2012 Queens Park Rangers are so determined to avoid another relegation battle they have made an audacious bid to lure France striker Olivier Giroud. Manager Mark Hughes is prepared to splash a significant part of his summer budget to land a top-class goalscorer. Arsenal have led the running for Montpellier striker Giroud, who scored 26 goals last season. His club owner Louis Nicollin recently said he rated Giroud, 25, at £50million but the player is believed to have a £12.8m release clause in his contract. Busy summer: Olivier Giroud arrives at Donetsk airport for Euro 2012 with France Busy summer: Olivier Giroud arrives at Donetsk airport for Euro 2012 with France Arsenal have also made checks on CSKA Moscow’s Seydou Doumbia and Malaga’s Salomon Rondon. QPR goalkeeper Radek Cerny, 38, has signed a one-year deal with the club, who were still waiting to discover whether Joey Barton would be charged with affray for his alleged role in a dawn brawl outside a Liverpool nightclub earlier this week. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2155603/QPR-ambitious-bid-Olivier-Giroud.html#ixzz1x3OpR6gH

£12.8m is an absolute bargain. No harm in triggering the clause and trying to sell him the 'QPR project'
