Simon Peach @simonpeach Led to believe Samba Diakité's permanent move to #QPR will be sorted out once he & Mark Hughes return from their holidays. Weeks not days.

QPR set for Russian raid May 31 2012 By Paul Warburton
QPR were on alert last night that Chris Samba could finally make it to Loftus Road. The former Blackburn central defender (pic) was in the Rangers frame in January – but much to Samba's disgust, Rovers refused to sell him to a relegation rival. Instead, the man signed by Rs boss Mark Hughes for Blackburn in 2007, switched allegiance to new Russian rich kids Anzhi Makhachkala bankrolled by a Roman Abramovich-type benefactor. However, the love affair with things east lasted barely a month after Samba was taunted with bananas thrown on the pitch during the game.
The defender made light of the affair publicly, but was privately seething despite playing regularly for a side coached by the legendary Guus Hiddink. A source close to Samba said: “Of course Chris would be interested if Mark Hughes made an approach. “Naturally, it would depend on a number of things and whether Anzhi were willing to sell. “Chris doesn’t have anything against the club, but the banana incident hurt.” Rangers priority is a central defender after releasing both Fitz Hall and Danny Gabbidon, but it would need a bid of around £8million to prise Samba away from a four-year contract at Anzhi.

Also both Andy Johnson and Danny Murphy have been released so I expect both to come here.

Things which remain to be "done and dusted" beyond a few signings! Announcement re Perone: Where is he/When did he go if he did I have had a look around the websites down here and he hasnt signed for anyone, and there is no news for him at all! I guess it depends when his 1 year contract actually ends and he becomes a free agent as the internation transfer window in Brasil is June 19 to July 19th this year. Seeing as even the lowly state championship teams didnt want him before I cant see him signing for anyone this way. Maybe back to Spain?

I think we can cross off Green now. Looks like Spurs are front runners for his services with Jussi Jaskelainen going to West Ham.
Understand Southampton bidding for Butland too.

Home>Aussies Abroad Lennox wanted in the A-League
2 June 2012-SBS EXCLUSIVE Australia U-20 international goalkeeper Aaron Lennox has been offered a deal by Sydney FC.
After the sacking of Liam Reddy for being drunk on a team trip to New Zealand for an A-League finals game, Sydney is keen to sign an understudy for Ivan Necevski.
Lennox, back home in Sydney for a holiday, has impressed Sky Blues goalkeeping coach Zeljko Kalac during his audition.
However, with the 19-year-old Australian Institute of Sport graduate due to sign an extension at English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, his Australia-based representative Terry Palapanis told The World Game he is only likely to join Sydney if the London club sanctions a loan deal.
"We will be asking QPR if Aaron can come back on loan to Sydney for a period of time and will see what they say. Any deal really hinges on that," Palapanis said.
Lennox, who has been excused from duty for an upcoming Young Socceroos camp, was snapped up by QPR a year ago after impressing on a trial and is poised to ink a new two-year contract.
Famed goalkeeping coach and former Australia international Ron Corry believes Lennox has the potential to reach the top echelons of the game.
"He's done well at QPR, he's been playing in the reserves there and is a big, strong keeper with lots of potential," Corry said.
"He's still young and there's a still a lot he needs to learn but he's getting there.
"He trained with me for the last four years or so and once he improves his footwork and decision making he’ll go to the next level."

In today's People, we (plus Sunderland & West Ham) are after Diame (Wigan), who's out of contract. Also, Kenny available at a "knockdown" £500k in order to shift him quickly.

Lots of Green and Gomes rumours too.
I thought Spurs were going for Green. Makes sense really and they can offer him European football too.
According to other sources its between us and West Brom for Foster.
Also, Helgs wanted by Bristol City. Allegedly.
Make of it all what you will.

Yeah apparently it's in one of today's English and German papers, they reckon a four year deal is on place for when his contract runs out with Blackburn on 1st July.

Le latéral bordelais fera-t-il le grand saut jusqu’à la première division anglaise ? google translation: According le10sport, the left side of Bordeaux, Benedict Trémoulinas would be followed by the Premier League club Queens Park Rangers. Wishing to replace the old Marseille, Taye Taiwo, English training focuses on Bordeaux defender. Trémoulinas is a very highly rated player. Bayern and Juve were both linked with him last summer. Probably better than Taiwo.

Le latéral bordelais fera-t-il le grand saut jusqu’à la première division anglaise ? I'm there for any translation from French or German: "According to 10sport, Girondins de Bordeaux's left-back Benoit Trémoulinas is on Queens Park Rangers' radar, as the club looks to find a replacement for the former OM player Taye Taiwo. The english club (QPR) has already watched Trémoulinas a few times at the end of the last season. A move for Trémoulinas would mean that the player who went through Bordeaux's youth system would leave "his beloved club" for the first time. Will the left back chose to make to big leap towards the english Premiership?" I watched this player a few times, and he's a very skillful player, quick and good with the ball. He's a Leighton Baines kind of left-back. I think it's fair to say he's the french Leighton Baines yeah. His defending has improved recently, and his crossing is above average. I'm sure he can do a job for us.

I hope we dont sign Gomes, if Green goes to spurs which is viable specially has Scott Parker will be tapping him up then Foster anyday over Gomes in fact id rather Paddy stays than sign Gomes, with him in goal anything can happen and usally does.
