Bump a year: Edit - Two Events a year ago today and a year ago yesterday 1) Year ago today - reports on Anton Ferdinand receiving a bullet in the mail. I don't recall any reports of any arrest/trial
2) Year ago Yesterday: Nedem Onouha Signs - 4 1/2 Year Contractqprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=29266&page=1 ANTON Ferdinand has been sent a bullet through the post ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup tie with Chelsea. Chronicle/Gazette sport understands the QPR defender received the missile just a day before he faces the man who allegedly racially abused him when the two sides met in a fractious derby back on October 23. John Terry faces a first hearing on Wednesday at Westminster Magistrates Court on a racially aggravated public order offence - even though the Chelsea and England captain strenuously denies the charge. And Ferdinand (pic) has already been subjected to threats and abuse in the mail, while reportedly hiring security staff at a cost of £30,000 to protect both himself and his family ahead of tomorrow's midday kick-off. Both clubs have called for calm before and during the game, and promised to stamp out the first sign of trouble either verbally or otherwise that might add to the tension, although both managers are set to name Ferdinand and Terry in their line-ups. www.ealinggazette.co.uk/sport/qpr-ealing/2012/01/27/exclusive-qpr-s-ferdinand-receives-bullet-in-the-post-82029-30213077/

Must have been posted from a nursing home where most of the old chelscum headhunters reside, of coarse helped by a nurse who wheeled one of em to a postbox.

That's sick. But I think should be careful not to make it sound like "Chelsea" - These sickies are everywhere.

Disgusted to read that this has happened again in football. Pretty much sums up the hardcore Chelsea fan base.

What the hell does the sad sick sender of the bullet hope to achieve?
Even if Ferdinand chose not to play in this game all they would have done is given themselves the possibility of a prison sentence.
It certainly won't help Terry or his court defence & may have just increased the antagonism over tomorrow.
If it was mean't as a threat to our players & supporters it probably has had the opposite effect. Roll on tomorrow & once again we can let them know how low our respect for them is.

Have to say the "media management" over the course of this whole episode has been truly spectacular.

Just seen some of the most vile comments I've ever had the misfortune to read on Twitter from Chelsea fans about this.
Stuff like "Anton Ferdinand sent a bullet in the post, shame it wasn't shot into his head #YouKnowWhatYouAre" and that's from a 17 year old Chelsea fan.
scum of the earth.

Not the first time with those areseholes, not that long ago that Swedish (wasn't he?) UEFA ref retired due to death threats from that scum!
Even more kin annoying is the way the media seem to be painting Terry and Chels*** as the victims in all this!!!!

Seems strange that he has not had threats like these prior to the scum game and that he should get a bullet in the post the day prior to the, yes you guessed it, the scum game, but oh no it wouldn't be, couldn't be anything to do with or have any connection with the scum football club or its fanbase. ;D

It seems strange that if the authorities were so worried about this fixture, the 12 noon kick off, joint statement etc, they would choose to publicise this the day before the match ?
My own instincts about the match since the draw were never that any kind of notable "disorder" was on the cards, but it seems like there has been an orchestrated campaign to give the impression that this was a big time "trouble" fixture / powder keg atmosphere, it seems like the authorities almost want their to be trouble & want to create the circumstances where trouble is more likely.
If it was Millwall against West Ham in the cup i'd understand, but I dont understand this.

Where are the statements of condemnation from Rangers, The FA, Chelsea & Mr. Terry?
I'm livid & fully intend to let them know tomorrow what I feel about their sick club.
Lets hope that the police can find the evidence to convict this person & send him to the Scrubs.

I think everyone should cool down
Obviously it's disgusting/criminal, etc.
And obviously it's been heating up. And obviously Chelsea have backed Terry too strongly.
But I don't think its fair to say Chelsea havent spoken out re violence, chanting, anti-Semitism, racism. Etc.
There have been threats in Scotland...
Gianni had to wear (supposedly) a bullet proof vest.
And G-d do I hate being in the position of defending anything about Chelsea!

Obviously (presumably) a/several Chelsea fans involved... I'm saying don't extrapolate from the handful to the masses
There's a quantitative differerence between what most are..to doing this.

People that hate intensely, need people to hate intensely, especially current famous people in the news
They get an extra bang for their buck by reading all the stuff written about them.
If Paul Warburton had any sense, he would not have written this. But look at all the mileage he is getting about this too. Notice he did not name his sources, and personally, anything he writes I always put my Doubting Thomas Cap on. Still sure though, this must be true.

Read link on qpr Chelsea preview ... Naively I thought the organised violence was a thing of the past! Read it .. Bet there families are so proud (scum)! Was going to bring mine for first game as one of v few Saturday's off and tickets available for a game but think this will be not for faint hearted or eight year olds!
Still think 3-1 to the rrr's ...
Year of the underdog and the deserved

As much as we all hate the Chelscum, I don't think this is not down to them. This is some nutter looking for his 15 minutes of fame.
