Maybe Wigan will already be down before this game We have to take each fixture list one game at a time

Agreed. One step at a time.We need to play well against the lesser sides. We are doing great against the top teams and that is encouraging.

A Followed by Fulham , course we love our West London neighbours really dont we chaps , we for these 2 games we do . I want to see Wigan take 1 point max from there next 4 games , then i'm certain we can have 3-4 point lead over them , with our better GD . Biggest Worry for me is still Blackburn v Wigan crucial its a draw to us staying up , we need Blackburn to go on a shit run .

Ive gone through all the fixtures and based on positions:- chasing the Prem title, chasing Champions/Europa League, chasing nothing or like us trying to avoid the drop, this is how i see it. The table by the end of the campaign the final placings.. please dont scream at me.. However if we draw or win v Man Utd Sat - forget this post as i have us to lose that one.. or just forget the post altogether as i have us as............??!! Week 38 - End of Final day 41pts - Bolton v Stoke (A) (Bolton to win) 41pts - Blackburn v Chelsea (H) (Blackburn to win) 36pts - QPR v Man City (A) (QPR to lose) 32pts - Wigan v Wolves (H) (Wigan to win) 29pts - Wolves v Wigan (A) (Wolves to lose) 28pts QPR v Man Utd (A) (QPR to lose) (Man Utd Premier title chase) 31pts QPR v Swansea (H) (QPR to win) (QPR must win - home advantage Swansea will play to win this to see us down, we hang on) 34pts - QPR v WBA (A) (QPR to win) (QPR must win – WBA playing for nuffin) 34pts - QPR v Spurs (H) (QPR to lose) (Spurs playing for Champions/Europa League - Feeling we will lose this one even at Home) 35pts - QPR v Chelsea (A) (draw) (Chelsea not to go out all guns blazing cause could still be in Champions league, wont want injuries or may play weaker team?? & to basically not let us beat them..!) 36pts - QPR v Stoke (H) (draw) (Stoke jinks team for us) 36pts - QPR v Man City (A) (QPR to lose) (Man City may need this game to secure title??)

I did the predictor thingy yesterday , based mine on us getting 8 more points ie Swansea , Stoke wins , WBA ,Spurs draws and 3 defeats at the Manchester Clubs and Chel.
Had Wolves on 25pts bottom Wigan 34 QPR 36 Blackburn 37 Bolton 39 Villa 41 Had to put Blackburn v Wigan as 2-1 home win but if i changed it to 1-1 saw us stay up on 36 , With Blackburn and Wigan on 35. Maybe we do have an outside sniff ? If Blackburn beat Wigan think we could need 9 more points.

Hows it sounding Harlow lol... Interesting to see that you show us finishing on 36pts as well.. this is how is see Blackburn and Bolton's final run in - maybe i was a bit too generous with scores for them to finish with a 5 point gap ahead of us, but that was how i saw it without adding the points as i went tried to be play neutral by adding points right at the end.
Have Blackburn to beat Wigan by the way..
30pts - Bolton v Fulham (H) (draw) (Fulham will give them a tough game, may even lose to see QPR down) 30pts - Bolton v Newcastle (A) (Bolton to lose) (Newcastle playing for Champions/Europa league) 31pts - Bolton v Spurs (H) (draw) (Respect each other due to FA cup drama Fabrice Muamba - play for boring draw) 34pts - Bolton v Swansea (H) (Bolton to win) 35pts - Bolton v Sunderland (draw) 38pts - Bolton v Stoke (A) (Bolton to win) 41pts - Bolton v Villa (Bolton to win) (not sure of date for this game)
29pts - Blackburn v WBA (A) (draw) (WBA wont want to be dragged into the relegation, so will avoid defeat) 29pts -Blackburn v Liverpool (H) (Blackburn to lose) (Europa League place) 32pts - Blackburn v Swansea (A) (Blackburn to win) (Swansea playing for nuffin, will want QPR down as fellow newbie to Prem) 35pts - Blackburn v Norwich (H) (Blackburn to win) 35pts - Blackburn v Spurs (A) (Blackburn to lose) 38pts - Blackburn v Wigan (H) (Blackburn to win) 41pts - Blackburn v Chelsea (H) (Blackburn win)

Yeah i had Bolton on 39 not 41 and Blackburn 37 .Of course if we had beaten either one of them earlier we might have got 39 and one of them under 36 . Just have to see how it pans out but would be dissappointed if we didnt get 36 points now . Just have to pray one of Bolton or Blackburn screws up , realistically blackburn starting tonight.
But at the end of the day 3-4 games ago i was one of the ones who said we were definitely down and could only see 33 pts tops so i at least we are talking more than that amount now. We have a slim chance of staying up but it is a chance.

We are going to have to be safe before the last day of the season, there is no way Chelsea nor Stoke will do us a favour and to add to that, we are not going to beat Man City unless they have lost the title by then. Anyway we should have beaten City before that when we played them at home which was one of yet another "Team Warnock", "should ave won that one" game..
The Wigan v Wolves game will be irrelevant..

Yeah Wigan will beat Wolves last day , so we need to be 3 points in front of them after STOKE , our GD would beat theres.

Ours Wigans and Blackburns games are all tough , i see us three fighting for the one safe position 17th . Bolton will walk 36-37 points , Wigan will faler and it could end up a two way head to head with Blackburn with us needing a draw for Blackburn v Wigan in the penultimate game and wouldnt it be something if we had to rely on Chelsea beating them last game of the season , if that did happen better not screw it up ,

Could Chelsea's good run in the Champions League actually be a blessing in disguise for us... here is why..
Chelsea play the second leg of their game with to Barca (AWAY!!)-(Tues) 24th April - We play them that week (Sat) 28th April.. This is going to the biggest game/s over the 2 legs for them in years. Are they going to be worn out after Tues game? will they be totally deflated (if they lose) that they just wont show up to the game with us on the Sat? I think the timing of us playing Chelsea is perfect, if ever there is a time to play them it is then....... I actually believe we could get 3 pts here - i was saying a draw originally.. until i reviewed the dates and after the score last night.....

After the brilliant team perfomance against Arsenal, I'm feeling much more confident. I think we will be difficult to beat in the last 7, even against the big boys. I would expect us to get at least one more major scalp and I can't see us losing at home, even to Spurs. Quietly confident we can stay up. No more sendings off though and no more dodgy disallowed goals!

Looking at the next round of games, looks like a great chance to put a bit of daylight between us and the rest. If we don't get 3 points on Wednesday, It will turn an uphill struggle into a cliff face.

Do you still believe that Blackburn & Bolton will reach between 38 & 41 points?
Personally I struggle to see either reaching 37.

|
|
Post by harlowranger on Apr 12, 2012 20:35:07 GMT
We if we get two wins terry 37 and our GD they have to get 38 to send us down.
Blackburn would need 10 points from 5 games to send us down ,ie 3 wins and a draw , will they get 10 points out of 15 , No way .
Bolton would need 9 points to send us down from 6 games , there fixtures are easy and i would say it is possible for them to win 3 of them and reach 38.
Wigan on 31 they would need 7 points to send us down , if they lose away at ARSENAL monday and away at Fulham Saturday week , they will struggle to get 7 from Newcastle , Blackburn away and Wolves but at the minute 7 would be possible for them too
So get two wins as quick as we can to 37 points , that would give us about a 75 % chance of staying up , or if we get 38, ie 2 wins 1 draw , 2 defeats , i cant see two of those three getting 38.
