Yes that was a great win Mac , didnt play to badly against Man U either , think they had to bring some big guns on to overcome us.
Still think Dowies reputation went downhill that night we couldnt beat Swansea when they had an outside Player in their goal. We barely had a shot on goal the whole game it was as if we were still just going there to get the point when another two were there for the taking , that must go down as very poor management?

A friend of mine once regaled us with the tale of the cup replay destination hosting. He was in the boardroom when the toss of the coin took place, the coin rolled under the boardroom table, Gregory and Elliss both dived under the table, cracked heads and almost knocked each other out.
True story, his account is much funnier than that but it's a great mind's eye image. ;D

On Fansnetwork Clive asked for players who had played for both teams & received this classic reply.
Keith Bradley, who played for Rangers for one minute. And what a minute that was!

Jimmy Birch 15. Kyle Walker How did i miss him first time around , way before me but a lot of Caps for the Hoops. James Birch (born Blackwell, Derbyshire 1888, died 1940) was an English footballer who played mainly with QPR.
Birch was signed by QPR manager James Cowan from his former club Aston Villa. Birch had scored 49 goals for Villa's reserves in two seasons but was only a fringe player at the Midlands club, and this form prompted Rangers to sign him in 1912. Birch was small in stature - only 5 feet 7 inches - but he was a stocky and bustling inside-forward. He made his debut in the September against Plymouth Argyle and scored both goals in a 2-1 win. Had the First World War not intervened it is very possible that he would have played in excess of 500 games for QPR and ended up as the club's all-time leading scorer.Although never really prolific he was an extremely consistent goalscorer who could usually be relied on to score 15+ a season.
He went on to play 334 league games (363 in all competitions) for Rangers, scoring 125 league goals (144 in all). He stands 3rd in the all-time list of leading scorers at QPR. In 1926 he was transferred to Brentford.

My first ever QPR game was against Villa in 1975, Sept? too I think? This weekend could mark my 36th year of fandom. We've always had decent games against Villa, just sad we lost that League Cup semi after three games. But Andy Gray & Brian Little were a damn good strike force for them.
