Frightening really, isn't it? Givens, Bowles, Thomas, Francis, all in the same team at the same time, and more were on their way. And not just those names either. The extraordinary neatness of Bowles' footwork. And I just love watching Givens on those runs. Bowles snapped up from Carlisle, Givens from Luton.
A nice clip to go with the famous 4-1 drubbing of Spurs when Wilkins scored with a header of all things, and Michael Nyman set it to music.

Throw in Parkes and Gillard and Clement ...
Also seeing Dave Thomas all the way back; all the way forward.
And of course G-D, Terry Venables. I remember when Venables first joined in 1969: At least as I remember it: He was taking all the throws ins; all the corners; most of the free kicks and the penalties. And just a positive influence on the whole team as Captain and Midfield General and De Facto Coach.

Nice clip. Ingham, Do you know where I can get a copy of the Nyman film? I have only seen The Final Score twice. Once on the telly and once on a plane but I remember it being excellent as was the score Michael composed for it. www.imdb.com/title/tt0104269/

There seem to be mp3 downloads on amazon, and there may be tapes or dvds on ebay for sale, zranger.
Or if you're ever down at LR this season in the vicinity of SAR I daresay I could locate a copy on VHS.
