Came aross this site by accident whilst searching for Peter Angell Must be the best club history site on the web,so Congragulations to all involved. Saw Peter play for the Rangers quite a few times and remember Reg Allen well. Am a Burnley fan but have always had a soft spot for your team. I went to school in Hammersmith(Latymer) and used to tag along with my school pal Peter White who was a big fan.Good luck for the rest of the season

1982-83 was the season we won promotion as Division 2 Champions. The nucleus of the squad were: Peter Hucker, Warren Neil, Ian Dawes, Gary Waddock, Bob Hazell, Terry Fenwick, Gary Micklewhite, Tony Sealy, Simon Stainrod, John Gregory, Clive Allen, Mike Flanagan. Great team that was too !

In the world of QPR - just as in the "real" life - there are regrettably racists and anti-Semites - who have no compunction about letting their festering views emerge.
And this particular individual - presumably with no where else to turn, and with nothing better to do - keeps returning and reposting; obviously thinking himself to be a clever person to do so..

I have deleted the post, as it has no place on this site. Problem for the poster as has been mentioned above has no where else to post.

Not since the Bed site was taken down. You know, the one that had four posters.

Have to say, I´m very impressed with this site. It´s especially great fun to read about the historical part of QPR. In that respect I wonder if there is a possibilty that we could have a special sextion where we can discuss players from the past.

:) I really like these old pictures and stories. I have been looking at them for some time but have yet to see anything related to a testimonial match I went to under lights in the 1950's I think it was. From memory it was a QPR Team vs an All Stars team which included Stanley Matthews. I was in the Loftus Road Stand with my Dad for the match. I think it was probably my first visit. My Dad who was born in Kensal Green in 1904 had been a QPR fan all his life. He used to cycle with my older brother from Rayners Lane to the ground. I still go with my brother as season ticket holders in the Ellerslie Rd Stand. If you can shed any light on the match I would be grateful. All the best and keep up the excellent work. This thread is not locked, please leave any relevant comments here. Internet trolls and their yawnfest need not bother. ::) :CPR addition:

Thx very much. Most interesting especially that Stan was injured and didn't play. I would have been 12 for this match so I suspect that it was not my first game. Nevertheless its nice to know exactly when it was.
