"..."The powers-that-be want me to have a look at the lad – and that’s fine with me. But I do need to get other players in, so I hope that if Emmanuel does get invited to stay – it doesn’t affect our other plans."Paul Warburton/Fulham Chronicle QPR boss cautious over Ledesma return EMMANUEL Ledesma is welcome back at QPR – providing boss Neil Warnock gets four more new players in the transfer window. The 22-year-old Argentine midfielder was on loan at Loftus Road during the 2008/09 campaign and reportedly featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Charlton on Monday afternoon. But Warnock insists his other irons in the fire take precedence. He said: "The powers-that-be want me to have a look at the lad – and that’s fine with me. But I do need to get other players in, so I hope that if Emmanuel does get invited to stay – it doesn’t affect our other plans." Ledesma made an immediate impact following his move to Rangers from Italian side Genoa after the clubs agreed a year-long loan deal and a £2.2m fee for his permanent transfer. However, he subsequently fell out of favour, returning to Italy before the end of that season, and has since had spells with second-tier Salernitana, Novaro and Crotone. But he has remained a favourite of Gianni Paladini, and bringing him back has been on the QPR chairman's back-burner for a while. www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/london-qpr/2011/01/13/qpr-boss-cautious-over-ledesma-return-82029-27979949/

Yes it is disturbing, on the other hand it is good to see Warnock making his voice heard and proving he is not a pushover.

Because he loves QPR? (and Port Vale) edit: Could of course be this way too: Paladini knows we will not have any money for tranfers and is charged, by the board, to find cheap/free players?

THE FIRST COMING. Argentine Ledesma arrived at Loftus Road in a hail of publicity and with rave reviews for his lavish skills, but showed the other side of his Latin American character to the annoyance of boss Iain Dowie. The on-loan signing from Genoa had already picked up two yellow cards in his fledgling Championship career and added to that when he impetuously threw the ball away in the first half. The legacy of that flash of temper returned to haunt him five minutes into the second when his late challenge on Jamie McAllister poleaxed the City defender and left referee David Deadman with little option but to show Ledesma a second yellow. Dowie said: "I think the referee had a bit of a problem with that first booking - it was unbelievably harsh. "I told Emmanuel at halftime not to get a red card and the tackle for his second booking was a bit silly. "This will be a lesson for the young man. He needs to be a bit more disciplined." Before his dismissal Ledesma had struggled to get into a game played at a ferocious pace despite the heat. It was one of Rangers' lesser lights, Dexter Blackstock, who gave them the first-half lead. Blackstock, a £500,000 signing from Southampton two years ago, has admitted he is under no illusions that Rangers'

Still we didnt bring back Alberti, Pellicore Coudve been worse Colin. No need to bring back Alberti. He never left. He's even been mentioned in the program a few times from being at the training ground during other player's interviews and I think he was one of the Italians that was mentioned on the Charlton website the other day (the other was probably Ledesma being mistaken as an Italian) as playing for the reserves. In fact I think he's played for the reserves in most if not all of their matches this season. And Pelicori is due back end of the season as per his loan agreement if I remember correctly. We can send the lap dog to pick him up from the airport again. Don't worry, it's all part of a grand astute plan that they want to keep as a secret as we wouldn't understand.

You sure about Alberti...I last read he was off to some club (forget where). Although to be honest, I have several times checked out Pellicori's career in Italy. Didn't see any Alberti stuff.

Look at the 3rd Jan 2011 Bristol City program (and I know you have it ) Page 59 - when German is asked What is the Capital of Argentina? his reply is printed ' (With the help of Matteo Alberti) Buenos Aires'. How can Alberti help him unless he's still about? I'm sure he's played in the reserves this season as well.

Alberti and Ledesma were signed at the same time. Ledesma has been playing in lower calcio and not doing very well.
My gut says , its not football that interests Gianni.

bright start to his career in English football, highlighted by a hat-trick at home to Carlisle in the second round of the League Cup,[2] this coming days after his first and what turned out to be only league goal for QPR in a 2–0 win over Doncaster Rovers.[3] After only a few games at Loftus Road, he has made a good impression on many Queens Park Rangers fans nationwide, with a limited edition t-shirt made in his honour. [4] On February 2, 2009 he left QPR to join Serie B side Salernitana in a half-season loan move.[5] On July 2009 he went to Novara Calcio, on loan from Genoa, with option to sign him in a co-ownership deal. [6] Although he won promotion to Serie B with Novara, in June 2010, the club decided to send him back to Genoa.[7] Ledesma subsequently signed for newly promoted Serie B club, F.C. Crotone, in a co-ownership deal, however, after only half of the season, he returned to Genoa where it is expected he will be loaned out to another club. In early 2011 it was revealed that Ledesma was training with QPR with a view to making a free transfer back to the club.[8]

Not very spectacular and not someone, that would help a club get promoted. Perhaps they have a lot of his t shirts left to sell. But most likele a help somebody out, say in Genoa or even an english team. Mancini connections, this is just another bit of my spec., ie you do a deal then another one is allowed cos of this. Or a favour for business purposes, which was how we got Pellicore., why he is still on our books. Alberti will need more research which right now dont have time for. But Im fairly confident though cant prove it, so more of a hunch that they have the same agent.

While it would surely be interesting to see Ledesma coming back and performing a possible comeback - there's a motive of an unfinished business here; the chance to redeem and prove something - Ledesma and Taarabt in the same QPR squad...under Warnock? If Warnock is skeptical and the player is being forced upon him - nothing good can ever happen out of this.

Must confess Sabas much more excited if we get two forwards and two defenders in on loan than Ledesma! We already have Hogan Rowly,Mahon all with niggles that could cover ,Cooks back , Buzz back in 2-3 weeks approx ,Moen just signed , Tofas how many midfielders /Wingers do we need ? We need 2 strikers to score goals one quality to start with Hulse or Helg and one as a sub like Agye . Two defenders to cover Orr and a centreback ! Surely these positions come first before more midfielders! We lost Mackie yes , but one of these could cover if we had to ! Always a little nervous getting players back a second time , just thought do we really need to go there again! Respect and trust NW decision as always!

Warnocks comments must be taken with grains of salt. The powers wanted him. Time will tell what that
means. I suspect nothing. Actions speak louder than words as i said on another post.
Bernie takover says more than anything. Theyre up to their old tricks again, the Ledesma, Alberti, two
trick pony. Got it? The reason they are here in the first place, to make money for themselves.
Not take any risks, enter Bernie.
