Incredible
We should be very wary about what is going on at QPR - after all LR is a nice piece of real estate worth more than £10M.

If he does then all this talk about his son being a huge Vale fan is false. The person who puts up the money will obviously run the club. A fan run club is great, but nobody came forward with the dosh. Gianni Paladini seems worthy of our trust. If the fans can eventually gain some say in the clubs affairs, then I see this as a bonus. www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=913&highlight=paladiniIf this guy Paladini had no interest in the Vale, then why was he spending his boxing day sitting with 3000 Vale fans in the West Stand at hillsboro freezing his knackers off anyone see gianni at hillsbrough, i went up and shook his hand hes like a god to vale i tell yer! as long as this talk is true, it'll be ****in amazing Originally posted by RealPete@Dec 27 2003, 09:04 PM I don't disagree with you Capn. I really want to believe in this bloke. I would love it if everything turned out right under him. It's just I have this nagging worry about the timing of it all and the manner of his approach, together with all this rubbish about his international footballing past. I'm not negative, just a little sceptical. It's part of being Vale fan I suppose! www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=887&highlight=paladini

December 2003 Gianni Paladini certainly joined in with the celebrations when we scored today! - did anybody else notice? - he looked well chuffed. Hey m8, i noticed gianni, he did looked chuffed yer, he had a big smile on his face www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=908&highlight=paladiniyeah he was at the game i saw people shaking his hand. He was in the away end with his son and Charles Machin. I saw him as I left my seat, and there were fans shaking his hand. Yes he was there. He shook my hand and spoke to me for a bit. He said the deal was still going through and that he was going to bring in lots of new players. I told him good look, and that he had best not let us down after so much excitment. He said don;t worry, he wouldn't. All in all seems very postive. And after todays performance and result he should be a little bit more in love the club I saw him and shook his hand, what a top bloke he his paladini was sat behined me in hillsborough and he celebrated every goal and cheered at the final whistle, seemed ok to me www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=879&highlight=paladiniDecember 25, 2003 Ok, Im Back, and i know its Xmas day, but i have been sniffing as usaul, There seems to be a little bit of a problem with the Paladini Bid Done a search on the italian FA, cant seem to Find any records regards his playing for any italian team, or the national squad, so there is the first problem, also, If he is not telling us the full story/truth on a simple matter like this, then what is the real deal here, i dont like bieng kept in the dark, and i want to be able to trust someone who statees he is ready to get behind vale, But i think there is more to this then is bieng let on, From my info, 30 yrs ago he was a waiter in Birmingham, And only by going out with a few footballers, he got involved and became an agent, Not by playing for the national side or any italian team, And what about his son??? Anyone actually know him? Or is this just a front? I still think this is a old bidder /new hat Vantis seem to be behind this bid and all bids presented for the boards concideration through one certainchap, Our Old Friend Mr Charles Machin,Who still has not replied to my offers of a meeting, come on charles, talk to us commoners, or are you Hiding something? Simple questions from a simple Bloke I will dig a bit deeper and let you all know what i find out Cheers guys PS At the original V2001 Meeting, Machin promised to put £50k into the club, but it would appear his total investment so far amounts to a staggering £10k, well short of the £50k Promised, and mr wakefield has only put in £1k, Yeh Just £1k I believe the biggest investers are Bill Bratt And Good old Glenn Oliver, all the other directors individually have put in substancially more than the Jiont total of Messrs Machin and wakefield Watch this space And what about this son Stephen and his alleged history as a Vale fan? And what precisely do they mean by "big in the music industry"? which team did he say he played for? Juventus and Napoli.... and italy www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=871&highlight=paladini\I reckon the bloke has good intentions for Vale, him and his son seem to be planning to invest a lot of money in Vale and I doubt any sane person would do that if they were planning to screw the club over. How old is Paladini anyway? I wouldn't think there'd be anything on the internet regarding his playing career (unless on Italian sites I suppose) if he's been an agent for a while. I just put Paladini's name into Google and pulled up a company he apparently works for: www.fscinvestments.co.uk/specialist.htmlIf you read the last paragraph there it states that Paladini is ex-Juve/Italy. I don't know much about legal hoo-ha, but if that weren't true the company could/would have been sued for misleading clients. I agree with Boomer K9 that Gianni Paladini must have played for Juventus and Italy. Just because he isn't listed on every single football website doesn't mean its not true. Alot of sites have incorrect information on Port Vale and do not have all of our players listed who've ever played for us. You can't expect any site to go into that much detail. Even though the internet is huge it does not contain every bit of information on everyone. I wish people would understand this fact. Give Paladini a chance before we slate him hes our last chance for Vale to survive. We should be thanking him if anything www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=871&highlight=paladini

I guess back then, Gianni didn't "get round" to explaining that it was an error and that he never had a Juventus/Italy career

December 2003 Quote: Originally posted by valiant@Dec 27 2003, 06:26 PM He has played for both Juventus and Italy the proof was posted on here yesterday, keep up man Proof of this fact was NOT posted yesterday Valiant - simply proof that he "claimed" to have played for Juventus and Italy. Can I direct you to an interesting site www.figc.it/versione_inglese/club_i...a/html/home.htmThat is the official website of the Italian FA. There is section on there which allows you to search for details of international appearances at all levels for Italy from the full international team down to the under 16s. A search at all these levels does not reveal the name of Gianni Paladini. Try it if you don't believe me. Also, the website to which you referred claimed that he had played for Juventus and Italy. The original information about Sg Paladini claimed that he had played for Napoli. Now it may well be that Sg Paladini is genuine in his aims for Port Vale. It may well be that these references to his playing past are simply elaborated to make his CV look better. Still leaves a nasty taste though if the bloke can handle the truth so carelessly. www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=867&highlight=paladini&page=2

December 24, 2003 In an interview in todays Sentinel, Paladini has said "Forget about Stoke, I want us to be the first ones". He has promised the Vale fans an influx of new players that he will personally bankroll "We will bring players in and hopefully we can go up. SOme of the players that come here you wont believe" He is also revealed that he will give up his role as a football agent and that Charles Machin will remain as Vice President "Why do I want to buy Port Vale? Why did Roman Abramovich want to buy Chelsea?" www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=850&highlight=paladiniDecember 30 2003 From http:\\www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk Gianni Paladini has accused the Port Vale board of being "unprofessional" in their handling of negotiations to sell the club. Speaking minutes after learning his bid had been rejected, the Italian football agent said he was close to tears, having arrived at Vale Park yesterday morning believing he was set to finalise a deal. He said he was shocked by the last-minute arrival of successful bidder Peter Jackson and was so desperate to take control of the club he upped his offer during six hours of talks, although he refused to discuss the terms he put to the board. Mr Paladini started the day as the firm favourite to become the club's new owner after tabling a £530,000 bid for 53 per cent of Vale's shares, with a £150,000 loan offered as an immediate payment to solve the pressing financial crisis. He said: "I feel very let down and emotional. Why did I come here to sign a contract to find they (the board) had someone else there? "We didn't expect another offer. It's very unprofessional. "I'm very disappointed and I feel like crying. We put in a bid, we increased the bid. "At one point we thought we had done the deal and I'm just in shock that they've accepted the other offer. "I have had people come all the way from London and Manchester because we all wanted to do a deal. "I don't understand why the board has made this decision and I'm baffled by it. I'm very disillusioned. "At one point I was prepared to take the club the way it is without making any checks, I was that committed to it, but I was advised against that by my solicitors." Mr Paladini insisted he will remain a Port Vale fan and will be there should the club need him in the future. And he said he hopes Stone-based businessman Mr Jackson will match his ambitious plans for the club and bring success back to Vale Park. He said: "I had players in mind to bring over - international players. I was thinking big-time for Port Vale and I hope the people who come in now have better ideas. "I'm still available for Port Vale and I will still follow the club. If I can do anything for the club I will. If they need me in future I'm ready." Mr Paladini declined to identify the big-name players, although national press had strongly linked former Italian international striker Fabrizio Ravanelli with the club. www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=967&highlight=paladini

Port Vale Official Site - Takeover Gianni Paladini with Vice Chairman Charles Machin yesterday. Takeover Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004 Gianni Paladini with Vice Chairman Charles Machin yesterday. Whatever the take on proceedings at Vale Park at present most fans want reassurances of one thing and one thing only, they want Port Vale to remain a football league club. This is paramount above everything else, and while decision day on the latest takeover talks appears to be today, people with black and white blood in their veins await with trepidation for the future. The latest prospective buyer to throw his hat in the ring is Gianni Paladini who has been present at both the Sheffield Wednesday game and yesterday's encounter with Stockport. He is certainly making the right noises as far, as Vale fans are concerned and most will hope that he will rescue the club, and move it forward with investment. A unanimous vote to talk to the Italian leaves the club to preside over what he has already said but with a second spell of administration looming large, Vale's fellow directors now have little time to play with. That leaves Vale in a state of limbo which will hopefully be settled once and for all today. The long running saga of the battles to keep the club operating has come to a head, barely a year after the club went into administration, but makes us realise that keeping a football club afloat these days is a difficult balancing act, particularly when a transfer embargo is not assisting progress. The diligent work that the current board has undertaken with both investment of time and money, is to be commended but even the board have realised that there was much finance required that wasn't even budgeted for. Everyone must hope for the right outcome and whether Vale will be having Pasta, Pizzas and Chianti at the refreshment kiosks as yet remains to be seen. www.port-vale.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10381~468093,00.html

Dec 30, 2003: Post "Rejection" He just rang in and was talking for about 5 minutes. He sounds really upset and angry and says he will still watch the team.He says the board told him his bid had been accepted and the jackson walked into the room.He also pleaded to fans to carry on supporting the club. Let's see if Paladini is at Bournemouth on the 10th of Jan shall we. That might indicate if he is serious or not. And if he does show at Vale Park again I hope he pays for his ticket like our present directors do. Personally I will be very suprised if we see hide or hair of him again. If Mr Palladini is serious about supporting Port Vale why does he not buy shares in the club? If he is serious about the long term future of the club he will do this. Won't he? www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=965&highlight=paladini

And then it became second-hand: Watching him come to QPR April 15, 2004 I see according to newspaper reports, that Mr. Paladini is about to invest £2 million plus into QPR. He must have been a like long fan of them as well!..................... Perhaps someone should have a quiet word with qpr and enlighten them as to the events at Vale Park ETC www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=2959&highlight=paladini

Well I was there then (ITK) and all i can say it was jobs for the boys under Davies/Devlin/Power
HOWEVER, they did at least try and sort out Rss rather than what the current lot are doing
Albeit, in honesty, that club has been a shambles and bent as hell since before i was born i reckon, no matter who has been in charge.

Well when you were a "wee one" Jim Gregory was in charge, so not a shambles. Won't comment on the rest...
So WHY are QPR a shambles now? Is it that they don't care? They're not competent? Out of their Depth? Have ulteriour motives?

But back to gianni. Isnt it about time Mrs Paladini was brought into play. Italian wives run their men, especially when they stay with them. They also run the business.

Well, I'd put it a little differently! But bottom line, forget everything else: I'd be fascinated to know if from Paladini's own mouth ever came the declaration that he once played for Juventus or Italy... Not newspaper stories or his firm where he worked (which interesting enough) but actually him saying it. I can't believe he would.
