just been on the watrb site just to see what people thought of the 3rd kit. all they were doing on there were slaging each other off! something about the kit looking like a celtic kit and some fans saying they wouldnt wear because of the political meanings of it! it just went on and on some of the stuff posted was disgusting! only a few posters knew this was our orginal kit!! if you compare our light hearted banter on the subject to that trash you can tell who has the best site! im sure the mods on here would have put a stop to that sort of stuff! im so disgusted with it i for one shall never visted that so called site again!!!!!!!!!

Ditch the badge and it's a decent kit.

Begging the question: Against which teams would this third kit actually be needed?

Have to say, historically, the green and white kit was cast aside at the request of the players. Long time ago mind.

I am not a happy bunny. It's pish, it's mince it is far too close to looking like something the evil empire from the east side of Glasgow would wear. And you's lot thought the second strip was bad! I'm off to write to my M.P. about this! I'll need a 6 - 0 win over Scunny on Saturday to get over this.

Begging the question: Against which teams would this third kit actually be needed? I assume away against those wearing blue-tops: Reading, Millwall, Ipswich, Cardiff, Coventry, Leicester, Portsmouth. And I think it's better than our current (2nd) 'rossoneri' away kit. I have a fetish-like affection for green colour and will definitely buy the whole line

AND THE 3RD KIT IS....
Appalling! Never mind all that official marketing tosh about our tradition, this is the "roll it out again every 5/10 years" and then we can suck in some more money from the next generation of anglo irish kids from the area!!!! It may interest some of these guys, however it does still concern others of a different political persuasion... and that is the fact of the matter. IF(?) we actually have to have a 3rd kit, it should be something totally different from both the 1st and the 2nd surely, not just a different colour. I used to like the old red & white halves that we had in the past as a 2nd kit; why not bring that back as our 3rd choice, at least that has "tradition" significance to people that are still alive!!!

"anglo irish kids from the area" I think thats a bit wishful thinking mate!
If were going to go down that route, we might as well just had our third kit as a replica of Man Uniteds home kit but with a QPR badge stitched over the top of the Man United badge, then hopefully the local hundreds of thousands of Somali youths wouldnt notice!

A little insight on this........not sure if it applies equally to the Football League but.......
in the summer, Premier League chairmen successfully brought in a rule change that allows a significant increase in the number of times a "third" kit can make an appearance. A change kit (i.e. away or third) can now be worn up to 8 times per season (inc Cup competitions) where no clash would otherwise exist between both clubs registered home colours. Away kit can still be additionally worn where a clash does occur or third kit if the visiting sides away colours also clash with the home team (usually occurs in those clubs whose home strip is blue/white or red/white stripes).
Phew - that's from memory - actual ruling is somewhere on the PL site and as I say, not sure if that applies equally to the FL.
