fyi, Florida Dave McIntyre/Twitter This, I think, is how it stands: GP's resigned as sporting director & stays as club chairman until his future is decided at the end of March

Oh come on give the lad a break will you, he has now told us how he knew and he told his and probably Giannis version of it. Fair enough.
I wonder if Paladini had had enough of Briatore meddling, if he had had enough of fan abuse or if it was perhaps Briatore who encoraged the resignation.
Hopefully this will mean a true manager system.

No disrespect Scott, but I am not convinced that any Chairman should be as loose lipped about internal machinations with a supporter (or how ever many supporters he may have told)
I am assuming that Scott is an everyday supporter and not working for/involved with the club in any other capacity?

GP is a friend, a very very good friend. And like I said, we rarely talk QPR and that is the gods honest truth.

Sorry Scott, I guess the point I was trying to make was that even if he is a very good friend, there should be a line between personal and professional lives, he must place a lot of trust in you to disclose such things......... Did he tell any of his other friends about this 'bombshell'? (very clarkson'esque)

Before he was a friend he said he would never put this club in admin and he stuck to that promise

Sorry Scott, I didn't realise you called him to ask specifically if he was stepping down as Sporting Director to become Chairman. Or did he just tell you that specifically?, and were any other supporters told only this specifically? Or did he disclose anything else that may be of interest to any other supporters of QPR? (from Clarkson to Paxman)

In fairness, none of you know the relationship he has with the squad. they get on very very well. A cynical mind would think of the words "Cash" & "Cow" As in there goes our Cash Cow, time for some Crocodile Tears! Its a terrible thing being cynical.

Knowing QPR we will have a verbal agreement with Curbishley to take over next season, but then get relegated & say Arrivederci to Curbishley as well!
Paladini should have gone a long long time ago, he has 0% credibility amongst QPR fans & we have a chance of progressing without someone like that.

It's a shame that the Official Site has not already released the announcement. Shouldnt be the leaks...And then McIntyre and the BBC post. Should have been just the announcement. Or once it leaked out, to do it. It's not so nice

No need for personal stuff, but I am genuinely concerned about QPR, and have asked a couple of questions that you might know the answer to, and those answers may make me more or less concerned.........

I guess we might all be guilty of getting caught up with 'Flavio's' regime at the outset, although I have to admit to being somewhat cautious, knowing what kind of a man he had showed himself to be during his working life - but that's another thread. I hope that whatever 'theoretical' scenario happens, we won't be so blinded.... And unfortunately there has been such a downturn, it seems as though many QPR supporters would take administration and relegation just to get rid of the current regime in it's entirety

I must admit that I was happy when Flavio took over, especially with the financial backing of Ecclestone. When the Mittals were brought in I was ecstatic.
There were others warning that things might not be as rosy, but back then I ignored those people. I will thinkt twice before I put their opinions aside next time (and not all of them are on this messageboard).
